Phube Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 Click on the link for the still shot If it helps.... Crunch!! I must say that looks like a long lay off... bones fix easily but ligament and tendons take ages. And (even without my Arsénal hating hat on) the tackle wasn't that bad! Definite yellow, possible red. but it was one footed on the floor... just a very 'accurate' hit!
DB11 Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 I forsee a lengthy ban for Taylor. The Referee has took action. It will be no longer than the standard 3 match ban
Tommy G Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 Heres a close up photo, looks like his tibia/fibula has been completely detached from his ankle bone Sick!
Phube Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 The Referee has took action. It will be no longer than the standard 3 match ban Even Mr. Platt agrees with me... not that bad a tackle.. no Keano on Alfie !! Or a Gerrard double foot jump!
Father Ted Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 Heres a close up photo, looks like his tibia/fibula has been completely detached from his ankle bone Where is it?

Father Ted Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 I feel like crying and feel like never playing football again.
Master Fox Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 It's horrible. Looks like a pretty bad tackle to me. Will he recover from that and play again i wonder? Taylor looks like he's smirking in one pic. Tw*t
Bryn Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 Taylor will get a long ban for this, they'll make an example. The tackles have been getting worse and worse recently. I can see it being a a a matter of months.
Father Ted Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 http://24sata.hr/sport/clanak/uzas-na-stad...mio-nogu/51088/ Now I am crying.
Jack Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 To be fair I have watched the challenge again 6 or 7 times and it doesn't look like it was very malicious. He only went in with one foot and it wasn't high, must of hit him with some force to do that to him though. Looks facking painful. I just hope Eduardo makes a full recovery, he is a brilliant player to watch.

I can see it being a a a matter of months. But it wasn't a bad tackle, just mistimed... Exactly!

Taylor looks like he's smirking in one pic. Tw*t Which pic? To be fair there have been worse tackles this season and people have got up from it. Taylor has been unlucky that he must have caught him perfectly and snap. The FA will hopefully make an example of him and ban him for a number of games, otherwise it will just happen again as refs seem to be getting leaner on tackles like this recently

Gerrard has done so much worse!!!??
Tommy G Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 Why?? Gerrard has done so much worse!!!?? I agree, just that the FA will knee jerk and ban him to make an example. It wasn't a bad tackle as I said in a previous post, just forceful
joely22 Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 That could well be end of career. Definatly. They have said that soon they will decide whether to operate on him. What exactly does this mean?
DB11 Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 Definatly. They have said that soon they will decide whether to operate on him. What exactly does this mean? That it is not long before they will decide whether or not to operate on him?
The Stig Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 Definatly. They have said that soon they will decide whether to operate on him. What exactly does this mean? People have recovered from horrific injuries, don't rule him out yet. Good luck to him, I hope he bounces back.

MPH Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 There is a difference between malicious intent and careless. Just because it wasnt malicious doesnt mean he shouldnt get in trouble for it being reckless.. 4 game ban.
Samilktray Posted 23 February 2008 Posted 23 February 2008 That it is not long before they will decide whether or not to operate on him? Oh your a quick one arent you.
