To me Shush! is a specialist. He's okay in some aspects of defensive work and I've occasionally seen him do more than alright suggesting that, with the right coach and motivator, he could improve.

But you'd really employ him, rather like Cloughie used Alan Hinton, simply to do particular things.

People keep mentioning his faults as if I've never acknowledged them but I always have because they're so obvious.

But in focusing on his faults people ignore his strengths and those strengths have been sorely missed at times because Clemence and Hume don't generally create nearly so much danger from their free kicks not just because of accuracy, pace and the variety of flight but also because Shush!'s left-footed delivery is more unusual and unfamiliar to defenders.

And despite the insistence of some, Shush! creates plenty with his outfield passing, espcially when he's confident and has good players around him.

Don't get me wrong. If Holloway had replaced the lad with a similarly attacking player who also had the defensive tenacity of Chambers then I'd not have complained but those chances Shush! created have not been forthcoming from someone else, not from Mattock, nor Clapham nor Laczko.

This isn't about an individual. Mattock is the best bet and I hope he takes the opportunity. But so far he hasn't and I don't really believe the other two even have the capability.

Posters know and I know that while Shush! contributed oficially to seven goals first half of the season (two goals plus five assists) he was actually involved in much more - disallowed goals, near things, secondary assists.

No way has any part of that contribution been replaced and our results reflect that.

Unless we find answers to what I'm saying we'll go down - simple as that. Because the same applies on the right wing, the left wing and from central midfield in that we create far too little.

I tend to want players for their strengths rather than being overly concerned about what they can't do.

I'd rather have specialists who do particular jobs well than jacks-of-all-trades who charge about but actually have little effect on a game as we seem to have had in too great numbers and for far too long.

It is and he's done better than I expected with assists for that reason. But I don't think he has Shush!'s variety of kicks or his range and power.

Other than from set pieces, what does he offer in attack? I'm at a loss.

I'm not sure what games you have been watching but I have seen a vast improvent of deliveries from free-kicks and corners with players like Hume, Clemence and Oakley. Enough so, that I wouldn't feel the need to play an inadequate LB just to have his specialist skill. You can defend him as much as you want but for someone who constantly attacks people on the 'Chosen men', don't you think you are being a bit hyprocritical and not seeing past YOUR 'chosen men'

I am giving him time, I think a loan move was exactly what he needs. You can't also compare moving from Europe (hungarians) to Leicester, to Leicester to Leeds either! Plus the language barrier etc. The same applied with Kaebi. Shush! is on a short-term loan move to play regular football in league 1 2hours up the road. If he can't settle and perform well enough to avoid abuse and be blamed for goals, then I'm sorry but he is never going to become the great player you have suggested, which you have in your own long-winded way, so don't deny it!

But can you blame eople with the way that you've hyped him up? We expected a world beater, and all we got was a league 2 standard full-back.

It makes me laugh how he writes off players who have come in from a differant country where the football is not as in your face, where the culture is completely differant and it would take alot of time to ajust get settled. But nope soon as they have one average/decent game or don't score 8 goals in the reserves he's banging on about how much better Ryan Beswick is.

Yet when Shush! moves up the motorway, Its a great upheaval in his life and it could take months to ajust and for him to find any sort of form again. Bearing in mind that this is a move that is within the same country and moving to a lower standard of football instead of better its hypocritical to say the least.

Yet in 24 appearances this season striker Fryatt has 3 goals and three assists.

That compares with so-called defender Shush!'s 2 goals and five assists in his 24 starts this season.

As you'll clearly see, Shush! had some official impact once in 3.5 matches (approx) while with Fryatt it's been once in four.

I suppose Shush! has suddenly lost those skills now he's moved to Leeds.

But if his name were Fryatt you be insisting he'll come good soon. You've kept it up for over two years here.

Pity Hammond's not been fit too. Cos he'd have done better than Fryatt as well.

My argument about players doing better when they have familiar faces around them - people they've played well alongside before, doesn't just apply to Shush!.

I've mentioned Beswick/Mattock; Weso/King and Porter; Stearman and Gradel, Dodds and Porter were two more.

When Shush! plays with that sort of player he's confident and endlessly involved.

Shush! is very much a confidence player - it's been shown time and again over the last three seasons. If he's had a bad start in unfamiliar surroundings and with new players and a Leeds crowd who might easily turn on a Leicester import then I can easily imagine his form's dipped.

Doesn't make him a bad player.

As for him being a great player that's not even in the equation. His only task right now is convincing people he's good enough for the Championship.

He doesn't appear to be making much of a job of it at Leeds and we meanwhile are creating nothing down the left. Brilliant all round!
