The People's Hero Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 I don't respect rules and structure unfortunately.
James. Posted 25 March 2008 Posted 25 March 2008 Sorry guys but can someone please help me upload my mix? I've signed up to yousendit but don't really know what the f**k I am doing. Any clues greatly appreciated. I'm busy tomorrow night so tonight is my best chance to get it done.

Hmm maybe I've actually worked it out. I'm currently sending the file to my own e mail address. I assume it will then send a link to my e mail which I can paste in to here. Hopefully.

I assume it will then send a link to my e mail which I can paste in to here. Hopefully. Correct. Review my CD you big ape. My mix is obviously not my favourite 20 songs but I can't stop listening to it myself. My favourite song on there is either Salut! France by Errors which is spectacular or Days To Come by Bonobo which is pure sonic silk. I would definitely lose Polly-O by The Mules and replace it with Seasonticketholder by The Mules which is absolute genius and I only omitted because I think it was on the last one of these I did. And to answer the question properly, either Polly-O or the Ray Charles song which I only put on as it worked well within the context of the mix - I don't think anyone really needs to have Ray Charles forced upon them.

Gonna listen to it now. Days to Come is an amazing tune. Looking forward to that Errors track. Couldn't resist a bit of Ray Charles myself as you'll see. It blends well though. I love Ray.

It is confusing me and I don't like being confused. Change it now Blue boy or I'm going to come blow your horn.
Finnegan Posted 26 March 2008 Posted 26 March 2008 probably tbh favourite song on mine is the Gluecifer song. Nothing like going headmental to Brutus, i guess you have to be into hard rock but it's a wikid track to just wham up the volume and play halo3 to. I'd probably leave two songs out if i had it for myself tbh. the D4 song was a cover so I'd rather the original, but it was guitar wolf and i already had them on. them and volbeat really, not a massive volbeat fan bu i like the danish vocals on that track quite a bit. i originally had Slither by velvet revolver on instewad of that, but i figured everyone would have heard that really so I didnt bother. but that's a fooking AWESOME song. slash <3
James. Posted 26 March 2008 Posted 26 March 2008 Apologies for only doing 2 reviews so far... hopefully by the weekend I'll have done Daggers, Flynny and Finnegan...
The People's Hero Posted 26 March 2008 Posted 26 March 2008 Apologies for only doing 2 reviews so far... hopefully by the weekend I'll have done Daggers, Flynny and Finnegan... AS long as we all get round to doing them, I don't see it as an issue. I think the potential annoyance is someone uploading their own but not bothering to listen to others. Personally, I'd rather give a mix a few listens before giving it a review, hence why I've only reviewed Joe's properly so far I suppose - although I have now done Fez's but have left it at home (need to type it up). I've uploaded my mix anyway but any time people get round to reviewing it is fine, only restriction being in needs to be reviewed within a week.
Daggers Posted 26 March 2008 Posted 26 March 2008 I don't care if anyone listens to mine or not, loves or hates it...I'd rather read something stimulating or amusing than something bland.
The People's Hero Posted 26 March 2008 Posted 26 March 2008 I gave up on amusing way back in the fall of '06 and I don't think I've ever been stimulating. Will bland with a pretentious verneer do?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 March 2008 Posted 26 March 2008 Every time I try to download yours mate, it says it's going to take somewhere in the region of 13-27 hours to download. No idea why. Have had no problem with any of the others.

hairy Posted 26 March 2008 Posted 26 March 2008 Sorry I missed my slot and have posted no reviews but I will try to do something soon if thats OK Have we had much reggae or ska yet?
James. Posted 27 March 2008 Posted 27 March 2008 I'm downloading Daggers, Flynny and Finnegan at the minute. Hopefully have reviews up soon.

Flynny Posted 27 March 2008 Posted 27 March 2008 Sorry I missed my slot and have posted no reviews but I will try to do something soon if thats OKHave we had much reggae or ska yet? I'd suggest getting some reviewing done first. People are going to get arsey if you just whack up yours first, or do it after only a couple. And by people, I mean me. They're starting to stack up now and some people to come haven't even started.

And by people, I mean me.They're starting to stack up now and some people to come haven't even started. To be fair, I'd rather have some new music to listen to than wait for people to review every CD before posting. People obviously haven't been reviewing before posting their mixes yet anyway. It's not like it's some chore that has to be done, I've enjoyed reviewing the CDs more than I enjoyed reading other peoples' reviews of mine. I've actually made a CD of all my favourite tracks off all the mixes that I've never heard before, as listed below - bloody stupid iTunes formatting aside... James. Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Ohhh! The review police Yeah right. I thought this was meant to be fun and enlightening...
Daggers Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 I think I'd like to read why people included songs on their mix - that'd be interesting. Especially LFF!
