I'm up to date series 4 and I hink it's one of the best series out there. Light and funny.

Seen it numerous times, and every time I watch it I am urging Steve McQueen over the barbed wire fence. He has to make that jump!

I know there is probably a lot of artistic licence, but what got me was the absolute efficiency in how they worked eg sycronising the hammer blows to the floor with a guy hammering outside and the choir singing Christmas songs to cover the noise too.

I love the cocky ees between the British and the German Colonel, especially the (dare I say it) banter between them. I imagine that some of that is quite accurate!

I've said it before but I find both of the World Wars very fascinating and have a deep respect for all of our boys who fought in what must have been terrifying conditions.
