wirralsimon Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 That explains my lack of success - can someone recommend a good U15's chat room then? I'm starting to worry about your motives now.....
SamL Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 You'd win £2. Well yeah. I meant I'd only make a quid profit, so it's not really worth it. I'm not that much of a gambler anyway.
Daggers Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 I'm starting to worry about your motives now..... If you are young then I am more than happy to show you my motives. Do you wanna be in my gang? My gang? My gang? Oh yea!
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Have you seen it lately? By the way, congratulations on your magnificent, completely unbiased moderation of this thread. Have you thought of becoming a Football League referee when you grow up? I've not touched it you clown. And yes, I have seen, it's still shit whats your point? Who are Football League refs suppose to be biased against? us for a guess?
James. Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Well yeah. I meant I'd only make a quid profit, so it's not really worth it. I'm not that much of a gambler anyway. No really, at 2-1 you'd make £2 profit and get back your orginal £1. I would stay away from bookies if I were you.
General lee Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 No really, at 2-1 you'd make £2 profit and get back your orginal £1.I would stay away from bookies if I were you. If i stuck 200 quid on, how much would i win ?
James. Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 If i stuck 200 quid on, how much would i win ? Use the maths. 2-1 => you win 2 times your stake. So you win £400. And you get your original £200 back.
Guest shearfox Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 If i stuck 200 quid on, how much would i win ? You would win nothing because we ain't going down

I'm new to this malarky, as you can probably tell. Although, I had £1 on the result to be 1-1 against Colchester at 11/2 but I only got £5.50 back. I think I've been had. I won't be doing that one again, I'll stick to poker.
ronnup Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 That explains my lack of success - can someone recommend a good U15's chat room then? I wouldn't want that it writing with my name attached to it
Bert Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 I can't believe that some people can't work out odds. The number on the left is how much you will win if you put the amount of the number on the right. E.G: 9/4. For every 4 you bet, you win 9. You get your stake of 4 back which equals 13. 2/1 For every 1 you bet, you win 2. "...."
SamL Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 You would win nothing because we ain't going down I wish we were all as optimistic as you.

The People's Hero Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 I didn't realise there was any other grade than 'A' at Maths GCSE. Isn't it laughably simple?
Master Fox Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Ah right, I get it now. I got a B in GCSE Maths y'know. I once got knocked unconscious by a swinging door. I had a bump the size of tennis ball above my left eye.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Yeah, these bookies are always spot on. Anyone remember when they stopped taking bets on Ince to be manager at the end of last season?

CupidStunt Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Fook the bookies, have a bet on a leicester win on saturday I predict a leicester win,and am putting a £10 bet on leicester/colchester/blackpool wins this weekend
General lee Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 But it looks like we our certein to go down, so i might stick 200 quid on but knowing Leicester they will let me down.
Legend_in_blue Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 Odds of 2-1 you say? Strange. I've just read us at 7-4. Or, 1.75-1. The others are priced at 3-1 (Cov and Sheff Wed). Let's just hope this bookies nonsense is a load of rubbish. It needs to be.
CupidStunt Posted 16 April 2008 Posted 16 April 2008 But it looks like we our certein to go down, so i might stick 200 quid on but knowing Leicester they will let me down. either way ,you cant lose i suppose,if they do,you win some dough..if you lose the £200,at least you'll be happy with the knowledge they have stayed up
Geo V Posted 17 April 2008 Posted 17 April 2008 city are 2/1 to go down, and the bookies dont get it wrong to often You are right, they dont often but they have now. I have put £100 on Cov going down on Betfair at 9/2 because they are a club in freefall IMO and haven't got much going for them apart from Michael Mifsud. They have lost there last 2 and picked up one point from nine. There remaining games are... Colchester vs Coventry Coventry vs Wolverhampton Charlton vs Coventry They have a much worse goal difference and are only one point ahead of us. I really see this lot getting relegated.
