Lillehamring Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 I bet we'd win too but we shouldn't kid ourselves.Humey pulled a rabbit from the hat and has now earned us four vital points in two matches. But we really didn't create much, Barnsley hit the woodwork twice and went very close on several occasions so, considering Hendrie may well be missing, we really do have to keep our heads down and focused. At least now though there are a few clubs who look as deep in the proverbial as we do and being outside the bottom three reads a loody sight better than being in it. I've mentioned Southampton's vulnerability before. My middle son is a Saints fan and sees no real hope for them. Sheffield Wednesday would surely have had their confidence knocked by today's defeat at Blackpool and tired old Barnsley won't be resting easy either. Surely we owe Wednesday one for last season's whacking at the Walkers. Next Saturday would be the most timely occasion for payback. is that the one i watched with you?
Lillehamring Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 I'm so relieved ... had to go and pick someone up from the station. Come home and Hume's scored!!Also - just seen the championship form table ... it may not feel like it, but look where we are when it matters! http://www.fansfocus.com/football/champion...uide.php?comp=2 especially when you consider that 3 of the last six were against the 2nd, 3rd and 4th best form teams....
MikeyT Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 Good result and obviously one we really really needed! Hand up all those who about had a heart attack when N'gotty gave away a free kick in the dying moments! *me*

Sods Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 Just got back. What a day. Crazy, everything went right. Seeing Leicester fans singing and dancing as you get into the ground pretty much sumed the day up. I moved into the aisle like last year and my word i have never celebrated a goal like that before, showed me what a packed steep terrace would feel like. Absoulutely awesome. Support was quality as well, im just relieved we won. Get in. However it is not over yet. The Wednesday fans will come to us like we went to Barnsley today with no fear. But it is up to our players to perform again. Special mention to Barry Hayles. Absoulute great game from him today. Oh and by the way. Match thread king!

Joe. Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 Wow. Relief. Great day for starters, but more importantly we got the result we so desperately needed. Massive result, and with a couple of others going in oir favour, safety is on our side now. And the main one- Hume up front. It just has to happen on Saturday and it could prove vital to whether we stay up or go down. I knew Hume would be key today. He may not have had a fantastic game but he buried the one chance he had, something which our other strikers haven't done recently. Special mention to Barry Hayles. Fantastic today, set up Hume's goal and worked his bollocks off.
dandannieldanok Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 Great result, not a bad match at all and a fantastic atmosphere from near the back. The fans were brilliant and were rewarded with a committed performance. Barry Hayles deserves a special mention, I'll openly admit to criticising him since his arrival, but today he was excellent and deserved a goal.
Fox in a Box Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 What a day.Ring of fire Barry Hayles whats with the ring of fire?
James. Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 You twas in red jumper yeah, i was on right of Dave. Was awsome when we scored Yeah that was me. My main memory of that goal was giving Daggers a serious man hug. I still have an hour left of my journey home but it feels so much quicker than after that sheffield united game!

I still have an hour left of my journey home but it feels so much quicker than after that sheffield united game! I think i may have been in on that hug at some stage ::
maddog Posted 19 April 2008 Posted 19 April 2008 Fantastic game, great result. All we need is a draw at home to Wednesday now. That would keep us 2 points above Wednesday and assuming Southampton lose at West Brom, will put us 2 points above 2 teams. Then a loss against Stoke may still be enough, as long as Southampton and Wednesday don't win, although they have easy ish home games on paper. It will be much easier to beat Wednesday though and confirm safety. Come on Leicester
