Kilworthfox Posted 27 April 2008 Author Posted 27 April 2008 Pulis quote from todays Times; "We won't set out to beat Leicester; We only need a point." That's very positive as if we draw they have to win a game

Basingstoke Fox Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 I truly beleive Southampton will get a result against West Brom. If they draw both games and we draw with Stoke then well be ok I BELEIVE
Matt Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Clutching at straws...has it really got this desperate? Believe me i'd love it if we managed to stay up, but when will people realise our chances are very slim? I spose a few people out of thousands have to be optomistic by law of averages but the players have gave up...I've followed suit. Atleast we'll get a few of these little useless shites out of the club offloading them to other clubs rather than having to pay their overpaid contracts off. (Because lets face it, some club with poor fans will have to put up with these individual players, and I feel so sorry for them)

dexter97 Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Stoke get alot of headed goals by big centre forwards. Unfortunately Kisnorbo is out because he'd of dealt witht that kind of attack reasonably well, hopefully Bruno will put his nightmare behind him and become what we know he can be on Sunday. Neither of Stoke's big centre halves have scored in over a month, and Sidebe has only scored three headers all season. Lawrence, Fuller and Cresswell provide the main goal threat, and not a header between them.
Maybes Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Jamie Clapham will save us from relegation. Mate thats embarrassing
Koke Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Jamie Clapham wouldn't last 5 minutes against Liam Lawrence.
lildave3 Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Mate thats embarrassing I think he just spelt Ricky Sappleton wrong tbh.
FilboFox Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 OK then, I've been miserable because of the terrible performance against Sheff Wed but I'm back to my old self now. We are GOING to beat Stoke because of many factors: 1. We seem to pull it off against bigger and better teams. 2. We seem to be able to win after terrible losses the previous week and when people least expect us to. 3. The players/manager's futures depend on us getting the result, and boy, do they know it! 4. Stoke will be so worried about promotion, they'll forget that you have to BEAT your opposition before winning and will mess up. 5. There is lots of pressure on both of the teams but Stokes pressure is more because this is probably the first time they are actually HAVING to win or draw this season. We have experience in having to get the results... getting them is the problem but we might be able to this time round. So, all in all, we have a good chance. COME ON LEICESTER!!! :scarf:
Jordan Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Could you imagine this scenario? -Southampton beat West Brom, -Leicester beat Stoke, -Southampton beat Sheffield United, -Sheffield Wednesday beat Norwich, -Coventry beat Charlton and -Blackpool beat Watford...
ozleicester Posted 28 April 2008 Posted 28 April 2008 Could you imagine this scenario?-Southampton beat West Brom, -Leicester beat Stoke, -Southampton beat Sheffield United, -Sheffield Wednesday beat Norwich, -Coventry beat Charlton and -Blackpool beat Watford... Ummm i would rather not...i just did the predictor on it..and it means we are down..so instead i shall stay with LCFC beating Stoke and finishing in 18th...with Southampton going down

COME ON LEICESTER!!! :scarf: I initially wanted to call you a wacko, but thought it to be too harsh and somewhat inappropriate. All I have to say to you is, I can be as optimistic as you want be, but you have yet to master psychology before coming up with the same ol', same ol' week in, week out. It's getting repetitious and you're not really making a difference. If the manager and the players are not up to the challenge - then there's nothing you can do but to accept relegation. Theoretically, everything's possible. So, yes - we can beat Stoke. Well, there's no other option.
