Dames Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I'll be able to afford one this season which will be nice. See you all in L1.
Matt Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I'll be there but IF we are doing well and getting promotion e.t.c (Which I don't think will happen first time) you watch all the people who didn't bother and turned their backs when we got relegated come crawling back. I think we will still get fairly decent attendances next season but it will drop (To be expected really) we saw the attendences drop when we dropped from the Premiership and we will see who are the "real" fans now.
Trumpet Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I'll renew. If: a) I get a full time job and not work Saturdays, which means I rush from Fosse Park at 2, to get to the ground for 3. b) I can afford it
Corky Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I will be there no matter what division we are in or who the manager is, I support the club, but I will not sit here and criticise those who may not want to renew. It is all about choice, and if they want to spend their money elsewhere then they have every right to.
Steven Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 What a ridiculous, disrespectful and fooking joke of a statement to make.Current STH should take a long look at themselves, fook off. We have spent good money on season tickets and after watching season after season of shit it's up to them if they don't renew. I know which type of fan you are, a **at. I'm so annoyed and offended by that first line. As offended as I am at the thought of IH remaining City manager. Probably not. Having said that I do think fans shouldn't make judgements about other fans spending choices. I would hope everyone would renew their season ticket. to all you season ticket holders of this season who are thinking of not renewing theres for next year stand back and take a long hard look at yourself. I KNOW WHICH TYPE OF FAN I AM DO YOU???? To get fans to renew, it would better to try find another way than the way you did as I am sure that it will put people's noses out of joint when we should be encouraging each other to make one more big effort.
Rich Fox Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 to all you season ticket holders of this season who are thinking of not renewing theres for next year stand back and take a long hard look at yourself.this is a time our club needs you the most. i don't give a monkeys who's in charge next year holloway or a nobody my vains run blue with leicester city blood and will do for the rest of my life and if your not thinking of renewing if holloway stays are you really a supporter. I'm sure you'll come running back when we start winning again get back into the championship and are pushing for premier league. but this is now what has happened has happened and i'm still proud to wear my city shirt they day after we're relegated cause that's how much this club means to me. theres no way i'm going into hiding just to pop back up again when it all becomes right. so take a look at yourself and decide whether your supporting us through thick and thin or gonna grab our glory days when they return. I KNOW WHICH TYPE OF FAN I AM DO YOU???? Im giong to renew but am waiting because I thought they would drop the prices now there relegated, I know there cheaper before 31 may but I would have thought they would extend that deadline now, they need to give the fans some incentive to come after showing such loalty last season, milan needs to come up with a price structure thats beneficial to the club and the fans.
Ibbyfox Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I will be there no matter what division we are in or who the manager is, I support the club, but I will not sit here and criticise those who may not want to renew. It is all about choice, and if they want to spend their money elsewhere then they have every right to. Too right I'm renewing for me and my entourage (lucky nephew and niece who have a fab uncle like me ) BUT I'm doing it by my own choice and not coz I'm being told to have a long hard look at myself if I decided not to renew that is my right to do so.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I took a good long (well, shortish) look at myself and thought "christ you're getting old bloke". Am running out of seasons in the sun so will make the most of everyone that comes my way. OK, we turn up to footy for the match and the result, but there's the whole package that goes with it: the beers, the mates, the banter, the away trips (to places we've never been next season). So, no, I'm not throwing in the towell. Means too much to me.
kyleolly Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Already got mine if Milan makes the right decision and lowers the ST prices will i get some money back?
Finn Claw Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 to all you season ticket holders of this season who are thinking of not renewing theres for next year stand back and take a long hard look at yourself.this is a time our club needs you the most. i don't give a monkeys who's in charge next year holloway or a nobody my vains run blue with leicester city blood and will do for the rest of my life and if your not thinking of renewing if holloway stays are you really a supporter. I KNOW WHICH TYPE OF FAN I AM DO YOU???? This is such an annoying post, i'll list a number of reasons why this sort of mentality drives me mental 1) it is pointed at current season ticket holders, they have had to put up with 5 years of dross, I personally won't blame anyone for deciding to save a bit of cash and pick and choose which games to go to. 2) What about people who go to 10 or so games a season, are they even worse? I'm sure some City fans are much more committed than others but going to all the games is only a proxy to how much you support the club. I love city but have no desire to commit 23 Saturdays to watching shit quality football. There are many many things in my life that are just a lot more fun / more important than watching city every week. 3) it equates not just time but financial expense as a guide to how much you love city. Which i think must make Milan Mandaric our biggest fan by quite some way. The bloke cares but, I think most of us on here care more. 4) League one football might actually be really shit, I went to Uni in bristol and watched a fair amount of League one football,l at times it just is really really dull - £23 to watch a game where the moves break down when someone tries to thread a through ball can get a bit annoying. Watching football is not just about club loyalty but one would hope some form of entertainment. 5) Just because you don't go to all the games, doesn't mean you don't care. I for one am more interested in a load of new away-day experiences than spending time in the Walkers, i will probably go to about 10 games next season but most will be away. Oh and for some of us who have escaped from Leicester have to add in the train fare as well, a day to watch the city including trainfare, ticket and bear can easily cost £100, funk that every week. I've had a good hard look at myself and decided, I'll go to the games i want to go to, when I want to.

This is sentiment which i think applies to most fans at the moment but i don't necessarily think purely owning a season ticket makes you more of fan or more committed than anyone else. I don't have a season ticket mainly due to the cost of paying most of it upfront and besides i might not like the people i have to sit next to plus i take one of my brothers to games on a regular basis. Like some have said we may have better things to do with our time on matchdays. That isn't exactly a crime.
SamL Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Like F1 barmy army? Which tbh, is fast looking like Me, Mikey and Sods. I may join you with Atmosphere Dad II. Where I shall be located in the stadium all depends on which poor sod I can get to accompany me.
Wilbz Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I sat in D2 last year with a mate and i sure will be renewing this year, Still don't know in the same place but iv'e already convinced some other mates to come and get season tickets with us

I KNOW WHICH TYPE OF FAN I AM DO YOU???? I'm sure what you say is well meant but it is not always as simple as that. Particularly for family people, the time commitment of watching City, and the financial outlay involved, has to be weighed against the time you are not therefore giving to others - wives, kids, grandkids... I've supported City to a varying degreee for just over 50 years but if there was a choice between watching what City under Holloway serve up as football and a game of golf with my lads or the chance to watch my grandkids play in some important games then it would probably be no contest. To be quite frank I've enjoyed watching the reserves this season as much as anything, just honest-to-goodness up-and-at-em football with youngish players working themselves to a standstill and trying their best to pass and move and play the game as I enjoy watching it played. You're closer to the pitch so the atmosphere's quite good, you get to meet the players briefly, the whole thing is more like an evening out with pals than a dour first team do-or-die battle for points that's dominated by fear of losing rather than the desire to excite and entertain. Football at The Walkers is often an anticlimax and the atmosphere's pretty soulless for much of the time which is really down to our succession of cautious managers failing to get people going. It remains a day out made good by the pre and post-match banter in the pub and, particularly on away days, by the terrific crowd from FoxesTalk but in purely football terms it's increasingly poor value and the prospect of Holloway for next season only makes our relegation even worse to contemplate because, as far as I'm concerned, he's stuck two fingers up at the fringe youngsters and invested his faith in people who sometimes haven't been fit to lace their boots.
Sods Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Like F1 barmy army? Which tbh, is fast looking like Me, Mikey and Sods. IM MOVING TO THE BACK ROW!!!!!!!!!!
Legend_in_blue Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I'll be getting my season ticket but am going to wait until the last minute during this month to get it - on the slim chance that prices may be reduced further. Let's face it, at just short of £500 a pop, they ought to be for League One football. I like my seat too much to even consider moving to a less expensive area of the ground. Plus I sit near some pleasant Leicester folk! Not saying that it isn't any less pleasant elsewhere mind... Just after 5 seasons, you get to know the people around you.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Im not getting a ST (obv) But if I was it would DEFINATELY be the back row of F1. I was there for Sheff Wed and it was immense!! I might go there a couple of times this season. After some of my away days

Basingstoke Fox Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 To be honest thats the best ive ever seen it. Well it was still good. Much better than anywhere else in the Stadium.
Sods Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Well it was still good. Much better than anywhere else in the Stadium. Thats a debate i wouldn't wish to start. However the Sheff Wed game was something though to be fair.
lildave3 Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 Thats a debate i wouldn't wish to start. However the Sheff Wed game was something though to be fair. 7 Nation Army made it what it was
LE5 Chris Posted 6 May 2008 Posted 6 May 2008 I've renewed my season ticket today in F1 (2nd from back row, just in front of Dick van Dyke from Diagnosis Murders) and whilst I'm gutted, I've realised I love Leicester City more this week than ever before. Despite Mandaric, despite Holloway and despite those bastards who aren't fit to wear the shirt. It looks shit down there but I want to do my bit to help us back up.
Scow Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 I'll be renewing - just don't know where yet. Would be funny to see Foxestalk take over L1.
DB11 Posted 7 May 2008 Posted 7 May 2008 I KNOW WHICH TYPE OF FAN I AM DO YOU???? No. Please tell me.
