McAuley & Stearman to Ipswich?

Cheers for the update knowitall. I love the the way we negotiate contracts, bump up the wages and put a nice relegation release clause in.

He's been right on numerous occasions before. Add to that he's spoken from a perspective that doesn't involve the manager.

If ever we needed a new inspiring manager, now is the time. There are players there who need to be motivated and shown a vision of progression, a vision they can buy into and want to be a part of. Holloway is not the person for that.

When?

Sheehan to Leeds for one. I would regurgitate the Paul Connolly thread where all the info was but I think it's been purged from transfer talk.

Just seems to me, his post he did earlier is merely guess work that anyone could write, & you can't know these things without knowing which manager will be in charge.

He has I remember that he does exactly what it says on his tin

Ok, he might have got it right in the past.

Then fair play to him.

But my point his, everything he has wrote today, surely cannot be decided without knowing who will be in charge next season?

So, how does he 'knowitall' then?

Not strictly true. Any players moving on at this stage is completely out of the manager's hands. Player for player, we have some good players and some good youngsters (which shows again why Holloway has to go as he couldn't get them to perform). There are bound to be clubs circling so the question is not whether we'll let them go but whether the players in question want to go should a club come in for them.

With regards, how does Knowitall know his stuff? I presume he works at the club but in all honesty, I don't know. In that respect it is up to you to decide whether to trust him or not. I am happy to believe him based on his previous knowledge that turned out to be smack on. Others may not. That's a judgement call for you.

The McAuley contract clause I believe.

But everybody knows there is a high chance Stearman & Mattock will probably leave & that Douglas, MDV, Maybury, Sheehan are going/gone.

Personally I think, from TV, Radio, Papers & the Internet. Anyone can write anything about any player/club.

Rumours are rumours, we'll see what happens throughout the summer. No one knows what will happen.

knowitall knows what will happen, and has proven many a time over the last few months, if you don't want to believe that I suggest you read his previous posts which also hasn't always involved Leicester, he predicted Brett Ormerod would go on loan to Forest when Forest fans had no idea, 3 days before it was completed.

If Max leaves thats it.

Oh and 2.5 million for Stearman & Mattock is a joke bid. We rejected 1million for McAuley who is never going to be more than an average defender in this league.

To all that know me. I do not lie.

Mcauley has a release clause where he can leave Leicester for £750,00. This was put in his new contract because Leicester thought they would still be in the championship.

If Holloway stays Kishishev and Hume will leave. Holloway tried to sell Hume last transfer window. Even knowing that the manager did not want him. Iain has played his heart out for this club. I know some dislike him, but for me he is our top scorer (scoring as a midfielder) and you dont get rid of your top scorcer. You get rid of the ones not scoring. Then again who the hell wants DJ?

Both Richard Stearman and Joe mattock have a very high chance of leaving. Both to Premier teams. Max Gradel. 10 goals in this league from midfield in a crap team. is only 50/50 to come back to Leicester. I know he has signed a new contract but there are 4 championship teams after him. Leicester have in the past treated Max very poorly.

Players already moved on. rab Douglas, Alan Maybury, Alan Sheehan, Mark De vries, Jamie Clapham, Zsolt Laczko, Gabor Bori(German team)

Players going. Elvis Hammond, Sergio Hellings,

Players rated doubtful for next season. Richard Stearman, Joe Mattock, Radostin Kishishev, Max Gradel, Iain Hume, Gareth Mcauley, and James Chambers

Playes back. Eric Odihambo, Louis Dodds, Jonathan Hayes, Conrad Logan( if Stockport get out we expect an offer)

I can confirm this also....

I say this all the time. I only post things on here to inform fans as to what is going on at Leicester.

I only say things I have personally over heard or have been told.

Those whom have seen my postings before will know the many times i have been proved correct well before it even appears anywhere.

I dont read the papers or listen to the radio.

Yes it does matter whom is manager. IF Ollie goes then there is a good chance Hume and Kishishev will stay. However in many of the transfers the manager either has no say or very little.

Yes the biggest shock is Max maybe not coming back.

I can tell you a meeting was arranged for all the players for Tuesday at the training ground. Late on Monday night all the players where texted to say the meeting was off.

Now this is my GUESS. The meeting was for the manager to outline his plans for the season. So either it was stopped because Ollie will not be the manager next season or Milan had not made up his mind as to who he wants to be manager.

Gabor Bori is to go to a German team. Sorry not good on German teams but its a div2 side and it is something like 1682 in its name? Now this deal can fall thro but if it turns out. You read it here first.

I will be fookin furious if Gradel is allowed to leave here permanently, even if he wants to go.

TSV 1860 München just looked this up. This is the team gabor is talking to.

Try reading about that transfer in any papers.

Knowitall has spoken..I feel sick now. Be gutted if Stears, Mattock and Gradel go. Be unhappy if Hume goes. I suppose 750k aint bad for Mcauley. Won't be the end of the world I suppose.

No-one fancy any strikers knowitall? :P

If we offered Mcauley the captaincy, it might give him an incentive to stay.

I don't want either to go. Stearman is a great prospect for the future whereas Mcauley would come up trumps in this year.

Stearman can do better than Ipswich Town.

I don't want him to. I don't particularly rate him and if we get a million for him we could buy a couple of decent players in league one.

if we get that now we would be lucky

1 to 1.5 wouldnt surprise me

If MM is not desperate to cash in, we're in a good negotiation position. We don't need to get rid of Stearman, arguably our best player of the second half of the season. But if he we're to go, consider his nationality and his age a factor in his price tag too ;)

Hume's worth morth to us this season than Holloway is.

And I'll be absolutely gutted if Max leaves, it doesn't surprise me to hear there's potentially championship clubs knocking on the door for him.

bad news re: Hume and Gradel

Shame about Mattock and Stearman, but was always likely and their age/nationality should help us in the ££ department

Great work by the club regarding McCauley's contract...

The rest i have no probs with

Good work knowitall; keep us posted

Not at all surprised by the gradel links. I fully expect him to be at Forest next season or a permanent return to France. Hope he stays but why the hell should he when he has not got a look in.

sorry if already posted

LEICESTER City will not stand in the way of Gareth McAuley if he wanted to join Ipswich Town.

The Foxes chief executive Paul Aldridge admitted relegation will be a financial blow to the club and while players' contracts have clauses in them meaning they will be paid less the club could struggle to keep some of its stars.

It is understood McAuley, who signed anew deal in January when Ipswich made a bid for him, has a clause in his contract allowing him to talk to clubs now that city have dropped into league One.

Aldridge said: “It will be a process over the summer because the players have contracts. What the club might like to do is not always what happens.

“Clearly we have good players who are desirable. Until we sit and talk to the players and their agents, I don't know what their desire is. If a player really has his heart set on going then it's difficult, but that's not to say we have had that.”

Aldridge said: “We are a football club and we have never been in this division. That's the biggest blow and throwing a cheque at that won't make it go away.

“It's a financial blow, no doubt about it, but it's not the catastrophic one of falling out of the Premier League. It's a big blow but we do have incomes and we do have a reduction in our costs.

“From a sporting perspective, for our dream and goal to get back into the Premier League, it's a big dent in it. It's more of a sporting blow than a financial one.

“The majority of players have got a contract where all basics and bonuses are reduced in the lower division. The overall amount for the same number of players will be less in this division than the Championship.”

He added: “The rest of the club is something we have to look at. We would have looked at it anyway, as any business would. Clearly we have to look at it from a slightly different perspective.”

City's relegation is likely to see players attracting attention from other clubs. Richard Stearman and Joe Mattock have both been linked with Premier League moves in the past.

Aldridge said any decision on manager Ian Holloway's future would wait until Mandaric returns to the country.

Aldridge said: “You don't make quick decisions after something like this. We need to reflect, calm down and when we come back make good decisions. (Holloway) is bitterly disappointed. He is slightly more upbeat but he is still very disappointed.”
