I wouldn't be sad to see him go and for a million so yes please, isnt that a fair bt of our money back on him as well? Ddnt we pay 1.5 million for him? One of the high wage esrners as well?

Ric Flair Posted 16 May 2008 Posted 16 May 2008 I'm under no illusions that Steve Howard can still score goals, especially at the level we are at now. He's had a bit of a nightmare at Leicester, but under a different manager i'm still confident he could get us near 20 goals a season. But the thing is, we paid well over the odds for him and he's over 30. If we keep him, we'll never re-coup that sort of money for him and if we can get a million for him. We could use that elsewhere to strengthen, on younger players.

My thoughts exactly MaCarthy wasn't a fan of Jay Bothroyd as he wasn't keen to 'put in a shift', compared to Howard, he'd look like Mr Motivator. £1m is decent money for him
