Can't argue with that. When he starts he''ll need taking off at some point too thereby wasting a substitute. Hopefully that chap we've got on loan from the scouse scum'll do a fair bit of providing. Melton lad too which is what I think swung the deal in our favour.

Yeah I think you've got yourself a good signing there in Anderson. Showed he's got the ability when he was on loan at Swansea and I think he'll be a success in the Championship.

I'm even going as far to say I think Forest will do well next season!

Yea, I'm qietly confident of at least a comfortable mid table finish. Anderson's the signing I'm most pleased with. Mostly because Commons left and we replaced him a much better player. Also it'll cut the teams pie bill no end.

Our major worry is despite Calderwoods excellent record with transfers his tactis are pretty awfull. Naive would be a polite way of putting it. :D

Absolutely.

More english players should go abroad yes, I remember Les Ferdinand saying moving to Turkey helped his career no end.

And you can see it's doing the same for Kazim.

Harry Kewell to Galatasaray - Free Transfer.

I'm disgusted by Kewell's lack of loyalty. Wasn't he at Leeds when two of their fan's were stabbed to death in that UEFA Cup tie?

I know he left Leeds but if I were a United fan now I'd be fuming.

Joe Garner from Carlisle to Forest.

Only rumours at the minute but strong ones.

An ace signing if it happens and one less quality player for you lot to worry about next year ;)

Arsenal seal Nasri.

Arsenal have completed the signing of Marseille playmaker Samir Nasri for an undisclosed fee.

The Gunners have confirmed the capture, with the France international penning a long-term contract at Emirates Stadium.

A deal had reportedly been struck towards the end of June after the player's official website announced the 21-year-old had secured his transfer to North London.

However, the statement proved to be premature, and was subsequently removed, sparking confusion over the progress of the switch.

Massive club

But now the former Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year has sealed his protracted move to Arsenal for a reported fee in the region of £12million.

Nasri told the club's official website:"I'm very happy to become an Arsenal player, it means such a lot to me. This is a very important step in my life as a football player because Arsenal is a massive club.

"I really hope everything will go well for me here. I will my best for Arsenal and its fans and I am honoured to be part of such a great football club."

Outstanding player

Manager Arsene Wenger added: "We are delighted to be signing Samir Nasri. He is young, quick and technically an outstanding player.

"He has shown great potential with his performances for Marseille and the French national team over the past two seasons and he will add great quality to our squad."

Nasri's arrival is expected to pave the way for unsettled midfielder Alexander Hleb's transfer to Barcelona.

Eastwood seals switch to Coventry

Eastwood was unable to find his best form at Wolves

Coventry have completed the signing of Freddy Eastwood from Wolves in a deal believed to be worth about £1.2m.

The Wales striker, 24, has agreed a four-year contract at the Ricoh Arena.

"The move has been talked about for quite a while so I am just delighted it's finally going through," Eastwood told Coventry's website.

"My aim is to end the season as the club's top goalscorer. I've scored goals elsewhere and that is exactly what I want to do here at Coventry."

Eastwood joined Wolves from Southend for £1.5m a year ago, but had a disappointing spell at Molineux and was widely expected to move on this summer.

He will join the City squad on their tour of Switzerland on Monday.

Coventry chairman Ray Ranson added: "As people will know, Freddy has been a long-term target for us and we are delighted to concluded everything.

"He fits the bill in terms of being a quality player at the right age and will be the fourth signing we have made.

"We told our supporters that we would be strengthening the squad, and hopefully this is further evidence that we are doing just that.

"He fits the bill in terms of age and ability, and we believe he will be a very exciting addition to the squad."

Guthrie seals move to Newcastle

Guthrie was highly rated at Bolton

Newcastle have signed midfielder Danny Guthrie from Liverpool for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Bolton, agreed to a four-year contract at St James' Park.

"I'm happy to be joining Newcastle - I cannot wait to meet the boys and get started," he told the club website.

Manager Kevin Keegan added: "I'm delighted we got Danny. He proved himself in the Premier League last season so he can play at this level."

The central midfielder was a hit at Bolton and scored a spectacular goal on his team debut against Fulham in the Carling Cup.

606: DEBATE

Will Guthrie be a good addition to the Magpies squad?

Last month, Guthrie, who also spent half a season on loan at Southampton, was reported to be part of an exchange deal which would see midfielder James Milner head to Anfield.

The former Manchester United trainee becomes Keegan's second signing of the summer, following the arrival of winger Jonas Gutierrez from Real Mallorca.
