Matt Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Christiano Ronaldo wants to go to Real Madrid according to Sky Sports News - Breaking News. Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his silence over his future by declaring a desire to move to Real Madrid. The transfer story of the summer gathers pace by the day but prior to speaking to Brazilian website Terra, little of note had been offered by the Manchester United winger. Sir Alex Ferguson and United's owners, the Glazer family, are united in their stance that Ronaldo will not be allowed to quit Old Trafford but their resolve to keep him will now be further tested by the player's latest declaration. Speaking from Portugal's training base in the Swiss city of Neuchatel, Ronaldo admitted, according to Terra, that a move to the Spanish capital appealed. "I want to play for Real Madrid, but only if it is true they are eager to pay me and Manchester United what they have been saying they will," said Ronaldo. "However, it does not depend on me. It is important to send a message. "From now on I will not talk again about this until the end of the Euros. It is not worth asking me because I will not reply." On Wednesday, Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon said he would not risk ruining his club's relationship with Manchester United by bidding for a player under contract. However, now Ronaldo has signalled his intent for a future in Spain, it could be Madrid that make the next move. I dislike the bloke but he would be a big loss to the Premiership.
Simi Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 "I want to play for Real Madrid, but only if it is true they are eager to pay me and Manchester United what they have been saying they will," said Ronaldo. So he doesn't want to play for Real Madrid, he wants to earn 250k a week? ****ing ****. Hope he ****s off.
Number 6 Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Sooner he buggers off the better, can't stand the ****. EDIT: Plus will stop people putting him in their dream teams next season. Well....it should do.
Number 6 Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Apparently he will be offered £300k a week (after tax).
Tommeh Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 How to piss off a Man utd. Fan: Viva Ronaldo, Viva Ronaldoooo He's going Real Madrid For 50 million quid Viva Ronaldo
WetFlannel Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Interesting to see how Ferguson will respond comapred to cases like Stam, Beckham and Van Nistelrooy. He's never been afraid of letting his stars go. It's no secret he's wanted to play in Spain for a while so I'm not too surprised. Whether he goes or not is a different matter.
Tommy G Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Still can't see it happening. United will want 100 mill + then they will have to pay him 15 mill a year in wages at Madrid. the money is silly. I will be glad to say I was alive when the greatest player of all time play in the English Premiership. If he goes it will be a big loss, there is no-one like him?
MikeyT Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Apparently he will be offered £300k a week (after tax). Its disgraceful and shouldnt be allowed! Give the money to people on the planet who do actually make a difference, not some up his own arse, arrogant **** footballer like him! Give the money to cancer research or a childrens charity, not someone who will go and spend it on cars and hair products!

Unabomber Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 He can go if all he is concerned about is the stupid amount of money. It would allow other players to shine in the EPL.
Tilley Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Never happening, unfortuantely. Manchester United lose Ronaldo, Then 'Sir' Alex in two years, Lets see how many Man Utd 'supporters' there is then  Please go to Madrid, your a grade a c*unt! (& I hate that word)
Corky Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 I really hope he goes, it would be hilarious to see the plastics crying. And also, Man Utd fans will know what it feels like to have their best players nicked. Bet they won't like it.
Mikey Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 So he doesn't want to play for Real Madrid, he wants to earn 250k a week? ****ing ****. Hope he ****s off. I agree. If he did say that then I do hope f***s off. I did have respect for the guy, as I thought he generally loved playing football. It will be a big loss to the Premier League but I'm sure Manchester United would rather have someone like Wayne Rooney, Scholes or Giggs who have the club at heart. Although if he did not say that then I would love him to stay. I still think he'll stay.
Head Honcho Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 I struggling to see why any Leicester City fan should give a flying fvck about Ronaldo!

lildave3 Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 The saddest thing about this is that he will make Robinho/Robben play less
