Daggers Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 Well, I'm not unhappy Aldridge has left. I am upset that we seem to find new shambolic levels that I never imagined we could achieve. This stupid Serb must be the most unreasonable man to work with and for. How the daft old git ever made a penny is beyond me; what is going to be left of us when he has gone scares me.

Agree, agree, agree!
Jay Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 To be fair, Micky Adams did what he could with the resources we had available. Wasn't it the summer when we'd just got promoted when we signed about 11 players including Steve Howey, Scimeca etc? I don't want to go through the whole thing again but the year we were relegated with Adams he had one of the biggest budgets in the league and pi55ed it up the wall by signing the likes of Dublin, Keown, Makin, Pressman, Wilcox, Blake, Gemmill and god knows who else instead of investing wisely.
davieG Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 If the 4th dimension is space and the 5th dimension time then the 6th dimension must be the bizarre world of Milan Mandaric where time is the forgotten past, where nothing co-exists and space is what you'd find between his ears.

It's the fact that he makes the wrong appointment in the first place that really pisses me off. The bloke just doesn't appear to know what he's doing.
Daggers Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 The bloke just doesn't appear to know what he's doing. Yup. I can see organised protests before Xmas. Or, if the Trust are involved, some badly disorganised protests.
Corky Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 I for one am not sad that Aldridge has gone, seemed like a real shit and a creep with it. But, I am fed up of change. Change, change, change. Mandaric cammot seem to make the right appointment, or an appointment that suits him. It is having a detrimental effect on this football club. I think Mandaric should ring up Martin George. He made good appointments. Let Mandaric fund the club and George make the footballing decisions.
purpleronnie Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 He comes and shakes your hand and thanks you for coming to away games. Wow! Who cares, people come and go, I really dont understand why people care so much about some suit, have a whole clear out thats what I say.
CKB Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 Mr Aldridge obviously saw my post about me running him over with his own car and breaking his legs! I feel i am responsble for this, i do apologise FT's!
Raj Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 LCFC is a fcuking joke! Its not bad enough that we cant hold onto a manger for longer than most people have a wank, now we cant even hang onto a Chief Exec!!!
mega2kn1 Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 LCFC is a fcuking joke! Its not bad enough that we cant hold onto a manger for longer than most people have a wank, now we cant even hang onto a Chief Exec!!! People keep going on about Milan as if he is distroying this club. At the end of the day he has pumped millions into us and in my mind he has every right to get rid of people if he feels they are not up to it. I Know I would. All you have to look at is portsmouth. FA Cup Winners this year. They would never have won that or been even in the premiership if it wasn't for him. It may take is a little longer than expected to to get to where we belong but we will get there at the end of the day. Even if milan had not of come to us we were still on a downward spyral. 17th or around there for the past few seasons in the championship is not good enough and i believe if he had not of bought this club relegation was on the cards anyway! We will get to the premiership with milan. Give the guy a break

Give the guy a break Yeah he has pumped millions in due to Leicester City Football Club and he does have every right to get rid of who he wants, but pumping millions out of his bank account comes hand in hand with sacking people in football, and really that is where the majority of Milan's money has gone during his time at Leicester. He bought Leicester for peanuts. He has spent money on players but not that much. He has paid of players - A good think I suppose. He has sacked managers. He has sacked staff. -Can't think of too much else but that is where the money gone, It could have been different.

Not just on transfer fees but their wages too. As I was saying about managers not being up to it. Martin Allen bought DJ Campbell for 2.5m. All I know is I could have picked a better striker than that for that price. He has been a let down like many of the players that people have bought. Look at earnshaw going to forest for similar money to that. If you are going to spend 2.5m on a striker it has to be someone who can score more than what 5 goals. Its not milans fault. It is the managers
Bellend Sebastian Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 How's the Wicker Man coming on? Very badly. I'm in a built up area and so far have only managed to gather a few twigs. We've got enough to burn a little finger, or perhaps a cock. I think I'm going to have to pad it out with cocktail sticks and Subway wrappers

Christ It was £1.6m plus add-ons dependent on appearances, promotion etc. The max it can be is £2.1m

For a start we were never paying 2.5 for him and it only rose to 2.1 if we reached the Premiership. On 20 July 2007, Campbell signed a four-year contract with Championship side Leicester City for an initial fee of £1.6 million, which could rise to £2.1 million. Leicester reportedly beat off competition from Watford for his signature.[1] Campbell scored his first competitive goal for the club against Crystal Palace on August 18,[2] which was soon followed by his second against Watford seven days later.[3] He has been let down by managers and players but eqauly who is at fault for selecting them? Everyone makes mistakes and I wouldn't envy anyone having to make a decision like that but barr Harry Redknapp name one decent manager Milan Mandaric has appointed?

Well lets not be picky regardless its still a lot of money for a person that misses goalscoring opportunites. How many goals has he scored this season. The money could have been spent on a better striker than that thats all im saying. Maybe those managers that you are talking about had done well at previous clubs. So he gave them an opportunity and it didn't work out. A lot of the blame has to be put on the players as well. Its not the manager who is on the pitch kicking the ball around is it????

The People's Hero Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Here's a thought. We had to pay extra for DJ IF we got promoted. As we got relegated, do we get some money back?

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 I always thought Aldridge looked more like Timothy Spall.
