Babylon Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 So Hoos the Chief Executive? Hoos is the Chief Executive.
MC Prussian Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 Hooray to Hoos, it is then! For how long will he stick around? Six hours?
davieG Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 If it was Mandaric's doing Well he did disagree with Mandaric re the recruitment time-scales for the next manager whilst Mandaric was saying June 16th (I Believe) Aldridge was saying we'll take all the time it needs to get the right man. He also misjudged the mood on ST prices announcing a circa 10% rise irrespective of what division we would be in and then had to back down. It might also be a cost cutting exercise but done on the old 'it was his decision' to save both their faces. Alternatively Aldridge could have had a wage reduction clause in his contract and though I'm worth more than that, I'm off. Either way I'm glad he's gone, his reputation from WHU showed a lack of integrity and/or professional ineptness with regards to their Argentinian transfer deals.
DB11 Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 "This is an excellent club with a fantastic infrastructure and I am delighted to be here. I swear that quote comes up every time a new person joins. So many changes though, I hope it pays off
Wycombe Fox Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 "This promises to be a very exciting time for the club...blah blah blah etc etc with a few more blah's thrown in just for the hell of it" WTF is there to be excited about? The prospect of yet another manager who will probably be the worst of a pretty average bunch who didn't happen to be anyone's first choice? Playing in League One for the first time in the club's history? Am I supposed to get a stiffy because we've appointed a new Chief Executive Officer when I don't actually know what one does? F**king sick to death of these statements about 'pleased to announce', 'exciting times', 'mutual consent', 'signed this muppet despite much interest from Premiership clubs', 'signed that muppet because he looked pretty nifty on YouTube', re-doubling efforts on the training ground', '...lost to a wonder goal that isn't going to happen every week (apart from next week and the week after)'. If I was going to spend any of my hard-earned cash on anything to do with Leicester City at the moment, it'd be a bet on the club pressing the self-desruct button by the end of 2008! Rant over
DBEightyFive Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 Should Aldridge and Hoos be added to the Summer 2008 Transfers In and Out sticky? Do they count?
davieG Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 Should Aldridge and Hoos be added to the Summer 2008 Transfers In and Out sticky? Do they count? Best to wait a week as it's likely to change again.

Rant over Hard to disagree with any of that but it's best not to take much notice of the content on the OS. 99.9% of it is absolute garbage and has no bearing on (or relation to) results on the pitch whatsoever. Obviously they still churn out the same bollocks as above even when things are at their lowest ebb but it's all just routine PR stuff. Still, it's always nice to have a good rant.

SamL Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 Didn't like the bloke an awful lot so in a way I'm glad he's gone. But we need some stability, he'd only been in the job a few months. I don't know a lot about this new bloke though.
Matt Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 Whatthe fuck is going on with my fucking club? Milan Mandaric.

We've not had that since Micky Adams went, and I don't see it changing with Milan 'revolving door' Mandaric...
Scow Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 Must say I'm surprised by the news, though I'm not really too fussed about it.
wurmer Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 From the BeeB Aldridge steps down as Foxes CEO Mandaric says Aldridge will remain on friendly terms with the club Leicester City chief executive Paul Aldridge has left the club and been replaced by former Southampton chief executive Lee Hoos. Foxes chairman Milan Mandaric insisted the move was entirely without acrimony. "Paul has done tremendously," he told BBC Radio Leicester. "He'll still help us when we need it, but he's going forward with a new job. "The most important thing is we that have a very capable chief executive and that continues without interruption." He added: "Lee Hoos has tremendous experience. He only worked at two places in the last 11 years. He was at Fulham for eight years, and then at Southampton, so he's got proper experience at both a Premiership and Championship club. "He was available due to the changes at Southampton." Mandaric want's a chance to break another good record then......
Jay Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 We've not had that since Micky Adams went, and I don't see it changing with Milan 'revolving door' Mandaric... stability and Micky Adams in the same sentence..... that's just crazy talk!! stability means continuance without change I hardly call signing 27 players in 12 months stability!! or 3 different teams in 3 seasons The problems with stability started with Micky Adams especially the summer we got relegated and he signed something stupid like 11 donkeys only fit for the knackers yard that all had to be replaced 12 months later

Wasn't it the summer when we'd just got promoted when we signed about 11 players including Steve Howey, Scimeca etc?
Father Ted Posted 12 June 2008 Posted 12 June 2008 The second good thing to happen to us for a long time. The first being Hollowhead sacked and now this. Well done Milan for getting rid of that money-grabbing selfish t*at.
