morris1234 Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 Now i was just wondering what everybody thought about our young lads coming through the ranks, i mean theres been a lot of demand from a lot of people saying that they want some of the academy lads, who have that winning mentality, to come thorugh to the first team and i was just wondering who you all think would fit in well (obviously it depends on who we sell, buy, new amanger etc etc) and who would be ready??/ its a tough question as we dont know what they are like as people and can only see what they ACT like and what thier ATTITUDE is like on the pitch and i personally havent seen many of them play. theres a few i think could be ready for the fringe of the first team but i think , seeing as mcauley looks like hes going, then worley would be able to step up, he looks a good solid player and hes bloody big like mcauley aswell(but ike i said ive not seen much of him so i could be wrong). i think maybe lee cox the right back or one of sappleton or mckay should be given a place on the bench. again i know it depends on the changes that will be made at the club but i dont want to buy toooooooo many players, i think we need (in fifa terms ahahaha ) to build a good team chemistry and we need to get the players to want to play for eachother and bringing in tom, dick and harry (well weve already got harry ) will in my mind again bugger up the confidence of the some of the young lads. No wonder theres rumour of dodds not wanting to stay and past stories about how city treated gradel because we just panic buy some overpaid numpty that sees our club as a stepping stone to the big bucks and big leagues and not care what leicester means to us? so what do you think? who will be able to step up???
Moreton Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 THA-RACE-EEEEE-AHN! Your thread is calling.... He would have a disco when he see's this thread
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 Would like to see a few of our academy products in the squad next season, with a peppering of experience. The likes of Gradel and Dodds are already experienced at lower level, so it won't be that much of a step up for too many of them.

Can you Use Paragraphs next time please as my head is hurting. Thanks!
iancognito Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 If they've got pubes, they're ready. Canyou Use Paragraphs next time please as my head is hurting. Thanks! Double ! The kids are never ready. If someone had said to me that Stearman would make it to 100 games for the club and Matt Heath would be sold, I'd have laughed but they get experience from playing games. We won't get out of this division with journeymen and one season wonders. Now is the time to build. 5 or 6 of next season's starting XI should be home grown. Dodds, Shush, McKay, Gradel etc should be looking at playing 20-30 games next season. These are players that have taken on the best of the other academies and pissed all over them. That'll be wasted if someone doesn't harness it and give them a chance. After all, they can't be any worse than the spineless wonders we've had in the team for the last four seasons.
Thracian Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 THA-RACE-EEEEE-AHN! Your thread is calling.... :D I think my views are well documented.

ronnup Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 Sadly, I very much doubt they'll get the chance . P.s Welcome back Thrac.
Corky Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 Thirded Fourthded (if that's a word). I know he's been hovering because he's read my profile recently.
demon_dog Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 P.sWelcome back Thrac. The Messiah returns, long live the Messiah. Now your back (long interview with MM was it?) does that mean we'll get an announcement tomorrow?
lavrentis Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 Fourthded (if that's a word). I know he's been hovering because he's read my profile recently. Fifthded!! Thracian!!
Thracian Posted 17 June 2008 Posted 17 June 2008 Is that it? I was expecting a essay from you Thrac, all on how great Ryan Beswick is It doesn't matter now about Beswick, Gradel, Shush, or Kingy. We went our own blinkered way and got relegated without em! Perhaps we'll do the same again this year! Anyway thanks for the support. It is deeply appreciated and makes me realise what a good crowd most of you are. But while I never said I'd never post again, there's no way I'll be posting as normal. Quite apart from my fall-out with the forum adminstrator just the very thought of Division One and what Mandaric is up to next leaves me more down than a prostitute with a midget. I need some respite. Hopefully, somewhere down the line a single ray of sunshine will break through the cloud and shine down on our club. Then another and another until, once again, it is bathed in light and justified optimism. As it is the club's like a victim of erectile dysfunction, at least so I'm told! . It's one anti climax after another.

I just hope its good news by the end of the week and MM pisses off for the summer and leaves the Manager to it!........ YEAH RIGHT!!!!
