First semi-finals in WTA 500 for Katie Boulter !

And now the final! Well done Katie. She’ll be world no.27 if she wins. Not bad for a gal from Quorn.

Very bad news for Murray .

This injury wouldn’t be good for anyone let alone someone coming to the end of their career .

Nasty one to recover fully from .

Emma Radacanu scintillating second set just seen on iPlayer live for the GB France match.

Plus, let's be honest, absolute beans she is 🔥

I watched it. Superb tie break to win it.

Good run this week too but eventually beaten by Swiatek

I get the impression a lot of people want her to fail and blame her outside endorsements.

To my untrained tennis eye, she looks a very very capable top 10-20 player (based on that her game seems light years ahead of Katie Boulter, who herself is  decent ranked at 30)

Is this the year Nadal and Murray hang up their rackets?

I do hope so, neither have anything to prove and I’m sure long term their bodies will thank them for it.

For Rafa to get done like that on clay surely he knows it’s up and Andy to bow out after Wimbledon

Not great is it although guess we always struggle on clay .

Just goes to show how much we miss Murray when on form.

Making all four Slam finals is an underrated achievement.

It's a tough sport to be good at, and it's very competitive but I don't think enough is said about how little we produce good level tennis players. I don't really know about the funding though but feel the UK should always be producing sports stars, whatever the sport. General British conditions must make it difficult for kids to get involved and focus on it.
