thybluefox Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Does it really matter? The article shows that Mandaric does actually listen to us lot, and that he sounds like he's in it for the long haul. We've got relegated, and have to build from here. There's fook all point in arguing about what 'might have been', no one can say that if Warnock came here, we'd be where palace are now. He could well of bombed out like Holloway. Mandaric made his decision, and I'm sure stands by it, so should you lot.
potter3 Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Who's the fcuks Colin? Take the letters that make up Colin out of Neil Warnock, and what are you left with?

shiv Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 See what you fans who didnt want warnock did <_<We could have been in the premiership this season.......... yeah good one just cos he did well with palace doesn't mean he would have done well with us
Halfsy Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 yeah good onejust cos he did well with palace doesn't mean he would have done well with us No it doesn't, but he would have. He would have had better resources to work with at Leicester, from the ability of his playing staff to financial backing. He would have been able to motivate the existing playing squad and has the tactical knowledge that evaded Holloway. Everyone knows that we should not have been relegated, but Warnock would have turned this club around. He was perfectly suited for the job and yet again Mandaric and the fans made the wrong choice.
blue blood Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 [/b]How? our troubles were a hell of a lot more deeper rooted than crystal palace. our problems date back to the peter taylor era/wycomb defeat. the chalenges were totally different. I am not saying wornock would not have taken us down. But what i am saying is i doubt we would have finished where palace did.
Daggers Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 He said the past season had been "dreadful", and the honeymoon period he enjoyed when he first arrived at the club was now "probably over". You reckon, do you Milan? I'm seeing a bloody lawyer. As far as I'm concerned this marriage has never been consummated. All the promises came to nothing and I'm left here feeling all frustrated because the sex on the pitch I expected was never forthcoming. I want an annulment and if you can't manage that or a serious improvement in our relationship then I want a divorce. (...and 'no', I am not seeing anyone else...and 'yes', it is you not me.)
20mj08 Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 i agree ... yes he did it with palace but i dbt he would of done it with us but we are where we are like it or not Filippo Mancini .... get him signed up
blue blood Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 oh yea and if city have 7 targets then that does not mean we will sign 7 players.
Steven Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Leicester fans would have soon come around to the idea of warnock being manager as we climbed up the league. Exactly.
Babylon Posted 4 July 2008 Author Posted 4 July 2008 oh yea and if city have 7 targets then that does not mean we will sign 7 players. Maybe... because I read it more as positions that need strengthening, rather than 7 specific players.
thybluefox Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Your rational level headed thinking is not wanted around here. Theres nothing a proper Leicester City fan does quite as well as moan
wirralsimon Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Ne Wank it's re wank, and I will leave you to work out the rest....
Spiritwalker Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 That's a ludicrous statement to make. How can you compare a professional player who has been jailed for assaulting a team-mate to a fantastic manager at Championship level who said something about an opposing club? Warnock is an opinionated character and he said what many others were afraid too. I agree you stand by your principles as a club, but Warnock would have changed this club around last season. You would sooner have results and success than principles. I don't really like Warnock either but if he'd came here and achieved what he has at Palace the fans would have loved him . Remember David Speedy, some fans wanted to do a protest march to stop him signing. A year later he was a hero.
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 We didn't need Warnock to avoid relegation. Any half competent boss should have managed that with the players we had.Mny people didn't want him here because of comments he's made about our club, not because of his managerial abilities. And good luck to them. I didn't want him either. And still wouldn't. It's like whether Joey Barton should be welcomed back to the Newcastle fold. It's a non starter for me. The bloke is a disgrace and I wouldn't want him in any club of mine even if we were guaranteed the Premiership title. You've either got principles you stand by or you haven't got principles at all. Exactly right, I'd find it hard to take this club seriously if it appointed a man who once said the club should no longer exist as manager.
Master Fox Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 It's all what if's and buts. Just shut up and get on with it. Fcuking sick of hearing and reading about what happened in the past and what could have been. Everyone fcuked up, including the fans. So now just deal with it and move forward, or we'll forever be this total pile sh*t of a club.

The irony is all this talk of stuff that happened ages ago is occurring in a thread that's intended to be a discussion about players for the future! Who gives a f**k about Warnock? Especially now.

I like being a shit club, it suits us, can you imagine if we were a decent club, the sh*t on this forum would be unbearable!!!!!!
Houdini Logic Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 So you would rather have been relegated than maybe ending up where Palace are? Let's be honest - it's not one of two options is it? Not having Warnock was not the problem. Not having any hint of decent manager was. People talk about club loyalty, yet they would soon have a manager that tried to stop their team from being promoted
Daggers Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 If we are going to go off topic in this thread then the least you could all do is to start discussing whether Meliinda Messenger stands any chance of making a come-back as a P.3 model.

I'm talking about Milan's decision not to hire Warnock (which made up a part of Milan's article). In what way is that off topic?
