jerakin Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Have to agree with - Tommy English- comical, 'cept his goal at Barnsley, which was worth all the pain. I can see every little step he made prior to hitting it, like an over excited fresh born deer! Roger Davies- Truly awful. Spoon boot Davies! Only palyer clean through at Filbo to hit the floodlights! How about Martin Henderson? Only player to be stipped down to his jock strap by the crowd! What a laugh! Good days! At least we could laugh about our crapness back then!
MONreborn Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Junior Lewis Ade Akinbiyi Dennis Wise Lee Marshall Trevor Benjamin Nathan Blake Carl Cort Andy Johnson
Father Ted Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Elvis Hammond as not been mentioned!!AWFUL!!! How could we forget [ANKLE]?
iancognito Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Has to be Gary Coatsworth for me. Am I wrong or did he have a comedy facial hair??? No. Never. If only for the 30 yard bullet against Luton in about '94. He did have a comedy moustache though could be jamie lawrence No, not having that either. He was about three leagues higher than his level and never gave less than 100%. Franz CarrId like to defend Jimmy willis and Phill Gee, average players at an average time for city in the early 90's, at least they gave 100%. Ha, Franz Carr, beat the man four times and then cross the ball into row F. No-one should ever put Jimmy Willis in a worst XI. The guy was a solid defender who was an absolute rock in the play off final when we got promoted. I could name about 90% of the players from the last four years but these will do. GKs - Kalac, Andrews & Gavin Ward (being 7'6" doesn't make you a good keeper, he had more go through his legs and under his body than any keeper in our history) DEF - Tony Spearing, Scary Carey, Julian Watts, Lee Marshall, Alan Rogers, Simon Morgan, Junior Lewis MID - Philpott, Oldfield, Campbell, Junior Lewis (so exceptionally crap, he's here twice!) STR - Ormondroyd (bless him) Deep Freeze, Howard, Akinbiyi.
Free Falling Foxes Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 I can't believe no one's mentioned a certain DW He came here for easy money - did feck all and made things worse by decking a team mate & then tried to claim compo from us!!! I'll always be grateful for administration stopping that one. Edit: Whoops. Just seen post 32 had him down. But really we should ALL have him down
no1russ Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Ricky Hill, Allun Evans, but the worst by far has to be Mark Bright.
demon_dog Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 The worst goalkeeper by far that I have ever seen in a city shirt, was last seasons friendly against Hinckley. The one and only Jimmy Neilson, don't know if you want to count him in as he never even made the first team proper. Otherwise Kevin Pressman. Junior Lewis was sh*t, as was Ade Akinbadbuy. Who said Alan Rogers dead right he was a poor player. Seem to recall MON buying a player who turned out to be crap, can't remember who it was but MON soon got rid of. There have been so many poor players over the last few years that I sure you'll come up with a losing team.
MrsJohnMurphy Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Has to be Gary Coatsworth for me. Am I wrong or did he have a comedy facial hair??? How dare you !! http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=YiU6v5PmYxY

STR - Ormondroyd (bless him) Deep Freeze, Howard, Akinbiyi. I saw Simon Morgan score a 25 yard thunderbolt away at Blackburn years ago, you can't have that one!! We seemed to have a shit load of young centre backs in those days in the same way we have centre forwards now who get shipped out and don't make it. Prindiville, Horner, Grant Brown (now he was crap). Oldfield.....under Pleat, shite, under Little good.
Poakey Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Ricky Hill and Mark Blake to older ones i can think off,Junior Lewis has to be the worst of all time though.

Was most pissed off about Rogers, watched him score a sackfull for Forest as a full back, then did F all for us. Tit
Chairman of the Bored Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 I have no doubt in my mind that the award should go to Andy Feeley I would dispute that claim. Andy kicked anything that moved and had great tattoos. Which is more than can be said for some we've had down the years.
Joe. Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Nathan Blake was a bit of a legend around these parts. Partly because not many knew he even existed.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 My all time worst LCFC player was, is and will always be: Lammie Robertson. Bought as a midfield general (corporal?) by Frank McClintock the man was unable to pass, dribble, shoot, tackle or look the slighest bit interested in any aspect on on-field play. Crap with a Capital "C". I wonder where he is now?
Kilworthfox Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 from 89 -90 to Present ... OK here goes Nicky Platenauer Michael Trotter Ricky Hill Ashley Ward Lee Philpot Richard Cresswell Gavin Ward's right foot Elvis Hammons Tony Spearing Ade Akinbiyi Nathan Blake Paul Brooker Peter Canero Brian Carey - Just for the pace Franz Carr Alan Rogers Carl Court John Curtis Gary Fitzpatrick Scott Gemmill Peter Gilbert Joe Hamill Kevin Pressman Craig Hignett Geoff Horsefield Jason Jarrett Andy Johnson Radostin Kishishev Junior Lewis Des Linton Josh Low Chris Makin Lee Marshall Alan Maybury Stefan Moore Lee Morris Shaun Newton Jimmy Neilsen Alan Paris Nicholas Priet Nicky Summerbee Momo Sylla Julian Watts Andy Welsh Dennis Wise (Cretin) I have an arguement for everyone of the above, they were shiite.
syston_fox Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 from 89 -90 to Present ... OK here goesNicholas Priet Julian Watts I have an arguement for everyone of the above, they were shiite. Cant fault many of your list but dont really agree with these two. Priet never really got into the first team so bit harsh that's in the list and someone like Luigi Glombard isnt. And I didnt think Watts was all that bad. Not the greatest but not a contendor for worst surely?? Odd fact of the day - Watts scored in my first two visits to filbert street. One for sheffield wednesday reserves and then for us against Chelsea in my first league game.
hairy Posted 9 July 2008 Posted 9 July 2008 Its sad that we have signed so many shit players in recent years. How about someone names a good player that we have signed since Micky Adams. One on the level of Mon's signings.
