Tevez Posted 17 August 2008 Posted 17 August 2008 Darts 20/20 and an International 6-a-side would be sick guy.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 17 August 2008 Posted 17 August 2008 Ten pin bowling Is bowls still in it? Tiddlywinks Scrabble + Monopoly Where's squash this year - has it just not been shown? Knitting I like the amount of sports currently, especially the random one's, as there's always a couple of new one's that catch the eye. When's the madison cycling - i love that, shame it doesn't go on for 6 days though like it originally did.

Master Fox Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Pro-Celebrity anything really - where prostitutes and celebrities compete in something unimportant while being provided with vast quantities of cocaine and weaponry. This might actually entice me to watch the Olympics. That's not really in the Olympic spirit. To be fair, i've found them quite enjoyable. I've not seen hardly any fooball of the new season. I've lost pretty much all interest in going to watch a live game. Football has become predictable, boring, and generally shit. Anyway, Is Squash an Olympic sport?
Manwell Pablo Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 you can't have too many events in the olympic games. They're getting rid of a couple at the end of this one anyway. Don't see the problem with tennis personally most of the athletes take it fairly seriously, shown by the fact that Djokovic made it to the semis and Nadal won it. Even if they do scrap it I'd like to see doubles kept on, the olympics is the highlight of any doubles players career. Football needs restructuring I'd say instead of being thrown out (never ever going to happen, ever) And I'd see not problem adding 20/20 and Rugby sevens.
coale39 Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Squash should defiantly be added. It annoys me as here is a sport that is fast, very athletic and exciting to watch yet isnt included! Especially with the recent additions of glass courts to make it easier for spectators.
syston_fox Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Football needs restructuring I'd say instead of being thrown out (never ever going to happen, ever) 5 a side tournament?
Manwell Pablo Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 Nothing quite that drastic I was thinking more of making it completley Amateur. 5 a side and 6 a side aren't bad ideas either though.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 18 August 2008 Posted 18 August 2008 I think leave the football as it is, i really enjoyed watching it

I doubt you'd ever get amateur only, there'd be so little interest and the quality would be so low. Maybe changing it from U23 with 3 Over 23s to purely an U21 competition. Would be less clubs kicking off about losing their players and it'd be another great stage to see the world's youngsters on. I personally don't think any sport is out of place in the Olympics. It's supposed to be one great celebration and showcase of pretty much everything humans can do with their bodies (almost everything anyway :ninja:). Any kind of physical competition is worthy of a place IMO.
