I read Andy Mcnabs biogrophy a couple of years ago. He describes quite a few of his fellow colleagues in the sas as crackers. Bloody good soldiers but psychotic.

Also 2 of the people closest to him and the ones he believed to be mentally the strongest both committed suicide. A mental illness can hit you at anytime. Suppressing it is quite clearly possible but you can not defeat it. One of them jumped out of a plane at 20,000 feet and just did not bother to pull his chute.

They probably read his books.

I'm going on a sort of holiday tomorrow. My sister's 50th on the 15th and been asked to the Lake district. Probably got some sort of do arranged by the rest of the family. Suppose I should get a prezzy but will have to wait till I get there now. Forgot the card and too late to get one. I have a board game she can have as a pre birthday prezzy. Mid Life Crisis.

Seems a bit harsh to put yourself in the 'absolute cvnts' thread just because of this. :ermm::whistle:

The ref in Man City Ajax. Perfectly good goal disallowed and a blatant penalty ignored. ****.

The way he ended the game was bizarre. Very theatrical, he almost feigned awarding the pen to then spin a 360 and point towards the dugouts.

It pisses me off how often the talking point after the game is the officials. Seems to be every single fecking game at the moment. Yes it's a tough job but way too many of them aren't up to the job - they're just plain shite. No wonder players and managers go mad when there's a set of complete imbeciles officiating.

I don't really blame the refs though. The technology exists to stop that happening, yet they are not allowed to use it. Insane.

I reckon he knew he should have given a penalty but bottled it, and then, suffering an adrenaline rush, he panicked and blew for full time. I mean the ball had gone out for a corner. How often do refs blow for full time when the ball has gone out for a corner? Almost never. Awful refereeing.

Could be worse.

Made my day, what a wonderful woman.

The Falklands is still British and Communism is still dead, she must sleep so easy at night knowing the joy she brought to so many.

Yes Matt I often wonder where all those electorate who voted her in again and again have gone to ? They are all wearing Ben Elton masks and denying they ever voted for Thatcher despite living in their council houses they bought under Maggies right to buy laws. Exactly what did Blair and his unelected spin doctors do for the working man ? I seem to have forgotten.
