Legend_in_blue Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 Does anybody know if Mattock has some kind of release clause in his contract? If that is matched, we stand no chance of keeping him. As has been mentioned before though, it's a blessing in disguise that he's currently injured until well after the transfer deadline passes.
Ashley Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 Good to hear were rejecting bids, well played Leicester.
Thracian Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 Depends on the size of the bids as to whether we were right. Judging by the Powell ratings against Premiership opponents Fulham, he could become a fixture here for years! After all, Stanley Matthews was playing for Stoke when he was 50.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 Dont sell for less than 5 million, nice one City
Joe. Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 I doubt we'd get more than £2 million for him personally.
Samilktray Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 Dont sell for less than 5 million, nice one City No ones daft enough to bid that much for him.
Jimmy Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 No ones daft enough to bid that much for him. that's what Arsenal paid for Ramsay
Joe. Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 I find it funny how people actually believe Mattock's worth more than £3 million.
Samilktray Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 that's what Arsenal paid for Ramsay I'm sure if Arsene rated Mattock good enough to get in his match day squad he may pay £5 millions or whatever. But he doesn't.
davieG Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 I haven't a clue what he's worth or what someone might be prepared to pay but football is full of desperate managers/club paying over the odds for players. Many seem to have money to burn.

davieG Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 God I hope Roy Keane comes knocking. He really does have money to burn at Sunderland... £2mill + Fulop
fox123 Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 Sunderland from what i remember and read tried to over price Fulop - They rated him at £3 million? Well if they are interested Mattock is worth £6.75Million plus Fulop!
DB11 Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 7 figure. I thought that was £10 million for a minute
whitlock Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 Any chance knowitall may know who the clubs are?
Ashley Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 that's what Arsenal paid for Ramsay What did Spurs pay for Bale? Roy Keane? The RUMOR i've heard was Sunderland want/bid £3.5m for him.
Joe. Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 Mandaric wouldn't reject £3.5 million, no way. Plus the fact he's worth nowhere near that.
Samilktray Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 What did Spurs pay for Bale? Bale is a far better player. And when he left was a more accomplished player than Mattock.
kirkwood Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 I wouldn't be surprised if one of the clubs was Bolton.
Mark Posted 28 August 2008 Posted 28 August 2008 Mandaric wouldn't reject £3.5 million, no way. Plus the fact he's worth nowhere near that. His potential is worth more than that and thats what you pay for.
