Trav Le Bleu Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Location: Wigston via Braunstone Frith Age: Much too much, much too old... Interesting personal achievements or goals: I was once the editor of the Northampton Journal. This is nowhere near as grand as it sounds since it was a free paper with a circulation approx 10,000 and a poxy wage. So I left it. I would like to have a novel published. When I was around 20 I submitted a novel for publication, but recieved no offers, though it did get a couple of encouraging replies to develop my writing and keep trying. Looking back at some of my old manuscripts I can see that they were not up to scratch (though this doesn't seem to stop Katie Price) and I have kept it up. One day I will be a published author, if only by become Britain's most notorious author serial-killer, Trav "The Ghost Writer" McGinty. (McGinty isn't my real surname, it's just what I imagine all serial-killers to be named.) Oh yes... and you know the bit in Resident Evil (the movie) where the elite forces guy gets sliced to pieces by lasers? I wrote a scene like that about 5 years before that film... Any information on your lifelong support of LCFC: First game was at Filbert St 1980 (I believe. I was young) Against Arsenal, we won 1-0 by an Ian Wilson goal. Never been a season ticket holder, though I have been a member several times (People often refer to me as a member.) I sat in the Holt End at Villa Park when we beat them in the FA cup several years ago, which was an interesting experience. I probably average between 6-8 games a season, finances allowing. Other information:Music, literature, films and video games are my passion - anything that tells a good story! And finally... I wanna be free, I wanna be free to do what I want to do and I want to get loaded and I want to have a good time - and that's what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna have a party
Koke Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Location: Leicester - Wolverhampton Age: 24 Interesting personal achievements or goals: Played competitive football at school but broke my foot twice and needed 7 stitches above my right eye after a clash of heads, so my dear mum banned me from playing . Which then lead me into other naughty stuff like smoking strong shit. I was once interviewed by Al-Jazeera in Jordan couple of years ago, where I gave a good old long constructive rant about Jordanian/Syrian politics. They loved it and I had my 15 minutes of fame. Any information on your lifelong support of LCFC: I attended my first game against Boro back in 1994 with my mum. We moved around a lot so never really settled down until the 1999/2000. Apart from my mum and stepfather, no one else support Leicester in my family. Other information: I speak multiple languages, Somali, Arabic, English, Norwegian, Danish. I'm a hip hop head. And my life is currently going down the drains.

In the past 4 years, nowt . Any information on your lifelong support of LCFC: Lived in Leicestershire until I was 8 or 9, and my old man is a City fans (also a season-ticket holder), so was never going to be anyone else really, even having lived here for 10 years ! Other information: Recently finished 6th form, may well be working in London in the not-so-distant-future .

Jonbluefox9 Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Location: Mountsorrel, Leicestershire Age: 18 Interesting personal achievements or goals: I've won bowler of the year twice and player of the season once for junior cricket clubs. I managed to make Monty Panesar lose his temper (before he was famous) during his assessment for a cricket coaching qualification. I waited for about 2 and a half hours after a City match just to meet Martin O'Neill in 1999 and he gave me some cans of coke, tracker bars and a bottle of wine for my Dad as a thank you. Any information on your lifelong support of LCFC: My family are all Leicester City supporters and I've been brought up the same way. I remember staying at home and waving my Dad, brother and sister off on the morning of the '96 Play-off final. Me and my Mum stayed at home and watched on TV. I knew that we'd achieved something great that day even though I didn't understand much about football. I went to my first game the following season and continually nagged to be taken to home games and then away games too a few years later. Other information: I'm unemployed and not sure what I want to do in the long term. Hopefully this will change soon though.

Corky Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 b] Location: East Anglia Age: 18 Interesting personal achievements or goals: I once had a poem I wrote published in a national book Any information on your lifelong support of LCFC: Due to sins committed in a previous life I was forced to follow Leicester City, my Dad took me to a match at a very young age. I've been a season-ticket holder for years and follow the club away as well. Apart from a fortnight-long flirtation with Chelsea in 1996, this club has always been the one for me. I made the right choice. Other information: Nothing anyone will be interested in.[/b]

LeeCovFox Posted 1 September 2008 Posted 1 September 2008 Location: Coventry Age: 24 Interesting Personal Achievements and Goals: My proudest achievement, which isn't really grand, is having finally got myself to university. Nobody in my family had ever done so before, and I thought my chance had gone, but I decided to give education one last go and I began my course this time last year. I didn't have a particularly happy childhood. That was nobodies fault, I really couldn't have asked for a better, more supportive family set up, and have been very lucky in that way, but I was a neurotic, depressive and extremely socially awkward kid and even now I look back on my school days and wish that I had made more of them. The social side of life was something I was scared of until I reached the age of 18, and it took a nervous breakdown for me to realise that living within myself was not the way forward. All that is long gone now, I have a good group of friends, and according to them I'm very confident socially, which is a turn up for the books. What else have I achieved? I went out with Rebecca Rushin from round the corner for 6 weeks at the age of 10. Everybody wanted her, I was quite pleased with myself for that. She did dump me for Ahmed, the coolest boy in school, but I got over that. I still maintain though, that he was a twat. I also achieved spectacular failure in my attempts to woo Mandy Crowley, who sported a magnificent pair of breasts at the age of 14. She now lives in Turkey, is fat, and miserable. So I kind of win. I'm cursed with a combination of intelligence and chronic laziness. I set myself fairly lofty ambitions in life, before it dawns on me that to attain my goals, I have to get out of bed. I am working on this. Oh yeah, I also had a trial at S****horpe United. I was awful. Any Information on Lifelong Support of Leicester City: I didn't really get into football until I was 9 years old. I remember getting excited at being picked as my primary school side's number 12. I was convinced that there were 11 players on the pitch not including the goalkeeper. I was quite upset when I found out otherwise. I had been to a few City games in the late 80s and early 90s, but showed no real interest. Me and my dad were given tickets through my uncle, who played for Birmingham and Wolves, and knew people at City , so we got to quite a few games. In spite of this, it took a televised game to convert me. It was City vs Forest, October 1993. We won 1-0, David Speedie heading the winner. I was hooked. On Boxing Day of the same year, we drew 4-4 away at Watford. I watched match of the day that night, and saw Keegan's Newcastle destroy Arsenal 3-0. The next day I told me dad I now supported Newcastle. He slapped me round the back of the head and told me in no uncertain terms that I was a Leicester fan. This despite him being a supporter of Birmingham City. My favourite City game was the 5-2 mauling of Sunderland at Filbert Street, when Collymore scored a home debut hattrick. I thought genuinely that we were on the verge of something big, becoming a real force to be reckoned with. A new stadium on the way, money to spend, an already talented side and a great manager in place. We all know what happened next. My favourite moment is Steve Claridge's winner against Palace at Wembley in 1996. I was in the second row behind the goal. Never in my life have a seen a ball sail so slowly towards the back of the net. Everything seemed silent, even for a couple of seconds after the ball crossed the line, until the realisation hit that we were back in the top flight. Then it was pandemonium. I'm still not sure if it was joy, or sheer relief that they never got a shot at Kalac. Martin George walked round shaking the fans hands after the match. He wasn't a popular man with many of the fans. I'd have him back in a shot now. My lowest moment was, of course, last season's relegation. At the time it felt terrible. But in many ways it could turn out to be a good thing. If Nigel Pearson is as talented as his good start promises, and he continues to bring in young players and teaches them to play attacking football, then relegation could just prove to be the kick up the backside the club needed in order to return to the top flight once more. Other Information None really, I'm not that exciting. If you want to know more, looking me up on Facebook would make sense. Add me as a friend by all means, its always nice to see the friends count go up! My Facebook
