Jonezy Posted 4 January 2009 Posted 4 January 2009 Yes, SB 43 will not be the Manning Bowl! Only Eli left now. Well played Cards, especially the first TD to Fitzgerald was a piece of pure beauty. That Sproles kid turned on the heat on the Indy D except for a near disasterous fumble on the goalline. Ravens to teach Miami a defensive lesson and Eagles to win battle of the Metrodome tonight will be my predictions.
Jordan Posted 4 January 2009 Posted 4 January 2009 Well, after Saturday, it's official: don't EVER take any betting tips from me. Yes, SB 43 will not be the Manning Bowl! Only Eli left now.Well played Cards, especially the first TD to Fitzgerald was a piece of pure beauty. That Sproles kid turned on the heat on the Indy D except for a near disasterous fumble on the goalline. Ravens to teach Miami a defensive lesson and Eagles to win battle of the Metrodome tonight will be my predictions. That turned out to be a fun couple of games yesterday. I was sure Atlanta were a much better team than the Cards, but after Fitzgerald made that sensational catch, well, it was just gonna be Arizona's day. Ryan was horribly inconsistent--one of his big assets is that he plays with poise that belies his experience but he made a few awful, "rookie" mistakes yesterday... and there were several times when they lined up in the I-formation and I thought, "oh, great, here comes another slow-developing running play..." I still think the Cards will lose next week, whether they go to NY or Carolina. Yeah, Sproles nearly cost the Bolts big time, but if it weren't for him they wouldn't have been anywhere near the Colts let alone beat them. I know the Colts like to pass with spread formations on 3rd-and-short situations and have decent success, but I still couldn't believe they went with 4 wide and nobody in the backfield on that last play. San Diego had an aggressive and effective pass rush going and sure enough, Manning got sacked on the 2-yard line, forcing them to punt from the back of the end zone where even if the punt isn't blocked, you're left with no return coverage and the other team gets great field position. Who knows, maybe if San Diego starts that last-minute drive 25 yards further back, there's no game-tying field goal. Perhaps that was Tony Dungy's last mistake as the Colts' head coach? Chad Pennington had better wear pads on his ass today because he's gonna get knocked on it many times. There should be a lot of points in the Eagles-Vikings game even though both teams have good run defenses. Adrian Peterson is in the groove again and Brian Westbrook is gonna be hard to stop when he pops out to catch passes.

Jordan Posted 4 January 2009 Posted 4 January 2009 colts on a 9-game streak, lose to the 8-8 chargers, puh... Chargers on a nice little streak of their own, playing like a team of destiny.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 January 2009 Author Posted 4 January 2009 C-Man's Vikings Vs My Eagles tonight. Tense. Eagles to edge it though, of course.
Jonezy Posted 4 January 2009 Posted 4 January 2009 Ravens defense looks scary... Phins only has 13 giveaways in regular season, and now they have 2 in a half.
Ultra Posted 4 January 2009 Posted 4 January 2009 Chargers on a nice little streak of their own, playing like a team of destiny. Indeed. They seem to have the momentum at the right time - rather like the Giants last year..
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 January 2009 Author Posted 4 January 2009 Come on Vikings. Westbrook to dominate.

MC Prussian Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 Pittsburgh will prove you all wrong this year. Roethlisberger will be back just in time for the first playoff game, all fresh, clean and rested. Mark my words.
Jonezy Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 Great results yesterday! The Ravens defense is well scary. Only saw first half of the Vikings - Eagles one, but another couple of great defenses. Glad Eagles won it and fingers crossed they will do similar to the Giants.
Alexikokopops Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 Eagles 26 Vikings 14YES! E-A-G-L-E-S! Jizzcock
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 5 January 2009 Author Posted 5 January 2009 Jizzcock I don't dislike the Vikings, I'm just pleased about the result in general. What an awful sport, sorry. (I'm not sorry). Nob off.
C-man Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 Eagles 26 Vikings 14YES! E-A-G-L-E-S! You sick bastard. Childress better get the sack, with the level of talent of the Vikings, he should have got deeper into the playoffs. Over the summer, T-Jack needs a lot of coaching, especially for situations where he's gotta lead us from behind. We also need to make a few positive signings in the secondary. I'm available...
Fox You Forest Posted 5 January 2009 Posted 5 January 2009 I only saw bits and all i have to say is... Viking Special Teams. Like a knife through butter.
C-man Posted 6 January 2009 Posted 6 January 2009 Our Punt and kick off teams are woeful in coverage. A new Special Teams co-ordinator is definitely wanted.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 January 2009 Author Posted 11 January 2009 Eagles beating the Giants 13-11 with 4:20 left in the third quarter. Come on.
Uncle Albert Posted 11 January 2009 Posted 11 January 2009 Eagles beating the Giants 13-11 with 4:20 left in the third quarter.Come on. The Giants are my boys arent they?
