I'd say that was part of the longer scheme.

He's also involved with the PFA is I remember rightly, so a decent figure to have at the club providing it's right for both parties.

Best left back at the club, definitely keep him till the end of season. Seems more up for it than any of our other players also, which is amazing considering how long he's been playing for and that he's only on a short deal here.

I'm a fan of Powell. I think since he's been here he's performed well, not spectacular, but he'll do a job for the team well enough. It wouldn't bother me to see an extended deal to the end of the season but I think we should aim higher after that.

He's barely put a foot wrong defensively, I like him. Have hardly seen a single cross come in from opposing right-wingers when he's played, I just hope Mattock is taking notes.
