davieG Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 crazy! only til October though 5 days? Magpies turn to Kinnear Newcastle United have confirmed Joe Kinnear as their new interim manager until the end of October.
Wycombe Fox Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 I like Mike Ashley's sense of humour!! Joe Kinnear! That'll show 'em! The Wimbledon Newcastle circus continues!
Corky Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 I feel sorry for the genuine fans, the ones with their heads screwed on, the 12,000 who were there in 1991, the hardy souls who bothered to turn up on Wednesday night. They don't deserve this. The muppets who spout on about "Geordie passion", "best fans in the world" and "you wouldn't understand, you're not from Newcastle" DO deserve it. I don't mind Newcastle as a club, whenever I've spoken to Newcastle fans they've been friendly, knowledgeable and pleasant, but some of their supporters' self-importance grinds my gears.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 Joke in 'ere? Damn you TPH, I thought of that joke when I heard the news on the radio at work, but I've only just got home. Damn you and I say thrice... damn you!
The People's Hero Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 Damn you TPH, I thought of that joke when I heard the news on the radio at work, but I've only just got home.Damn you and I say thrice... damn you! Want me to edit it out and then you can make it?
sdb Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 5 days? you know what i mean! probably be sacked earlier anyway
Trav Le Bleu Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 Want me to edit it out and then you can make it? Why I take it all back. You sir are a gentleman and a scholar!
Jack Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 I bet they're livid with the appointment up north.
purpleronnie Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 I bet they're livid with the appointment up north. Dont think they'll be that concerned its only for a month.
dandannieldanok Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 Think I'd rather stick with Chris Hughton than Kinnear if it was us.
Darkzzz_ Posted 26 September 2008 Posted 26 September 2008 I hope Kinnear does well. But..... This will be his last job. The managerial graveyard is St James Park. Kinnear should have stuck to his gardening, he would be better off than trying to dig up this buried club. What a bloody mess.
Simi Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 Meanwhile, former Wimbledon captain Vinnie Jones says he jump at the chance of helping old pal Kinnear at St James' Park.Jones is a big fan of Kinnear and he has backed the Irishman to be a success on Tyneside. "I'd be back in England like a shot if Joe wanted any help," Jones told The Sun. "I'm sure he will be able to turn the club around and if he feels I'd be able to contribute in any way, I'd get the next plane back from LA. "I'm not filming for a few weeks so there is absolutely nothing to stop me if I get a call." Jones added: "Joe will be better than the fans think. He was probably the best man-manager I ever played for because he treated players like adults. "He will breeze into Newcastle and I can guarantee he will make everyone feel at ease because he won't be overawed by what is in front of him." Vinnie Jones going to help out the Toon Army?  It gets better. Him and Wise would be a dream team.
dandannieldanok Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 Given Speaks Out "The most important thing for the players is to concentrate on Blackburn" ^ How ironic. Good to see you're concentrating on setting a good example as a senior player Shay, just think you could have been slagging of your new manager before he's even begun................oh wait
Tommeh Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 I love all of this. Lets get in perspective though clearly Newcastle are the biggest club and have the best fans in the country Feel for Nicky Butt in the middle of all this though, all the guy wants is a nice footballing environment to spray some casual passes around, can he get it at St.James's? can he fu ck.
gosfox Posted 27 September 2008 Posted 27 September 2008 I hope Kinnear does well.But..... This will be his last job. The managerial graveyard is St James Park. What a bloody mess. if he's there for a month its a nice little earner......half a mill???? you can buy a few new flowers with that!!!
Koke Posted 29 September 2008 Author Posted 29 September 2008 So according to the Beeb, the Nigerians have actually bid for Newcastle
Uncle Albert Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 Feel for Nicky Butt in the middle of all this though, all the guy wants is a nice footballing environment to spray some casual passes around, can he get it at St.James's? can he fu ck. Newcastle are a joke. Ashley apparently not knowing Joe had a match ban says it all. If I feel sorry it's the real fans up there that dont think they are a big club and they deserve success the fans that spend all their money on the club and all the fans that are proud to have a Newcastle shirt on, I dont feel sorry for all the arseholes up there who constantly moan about the club and protest to get an owner and start slagging the board off at any chance. Joey Barton and Michael Owen should be at a better club than that shit. Man City or Villa would be ideal.
lildave3 Posted 29 September 2008 Posted 29 September 2008 So according to the Beeb, the Nigerians have actually bid for Newcastle I read on SSN that some South Africans are now interested?
James. Posted 3 October 2008 Posted 3 October 2008 Kinnear goes mental - not suitable for younger readers...
