Met him in the DBA on Sunday having lunch with his lad. What a nice bloke. We talked about the MON days: he said Muzzy was the most talented player ever to play for City.

The players didn`t like MON, but they all respected him and knew he got results!

He thought the fans didnt take to him to start with because he took the number 5 shirt from our hero!

He said Nigel still has to get rid of at least 10 players!

A poll on who they are???

He said NFP is sorting it and it`s getting more organised and the players getting fitter than he`s seen since he`s been back.

He reckons he has some really promising players nearly ready

10 players to get rid of? It will be most of the fringe players that haven't had a sniff. Can't see Mandaric wanting a firesale if he' serious about us going up and then up again.

I wouldn't agree with him about Izzett. Davie Gibson was different class to anyone I've seen.

That apart the 10 might be:

Hayes,

N'Gotty,

Clemence,

Worley,

Logan,

Hayles,

Wesolowski or Campbell,

Kishishev,

Henderson,

Porter.

I wouldn't necessarily agree with them all but don't imagine that's far off.

I wouldn't necessarily agree with them all but don't imagine that's far off.

Thing is, get rid of 10 players and we're left with a squad of about 17 players. Not many really and a fair few of those are loans.

Id expect thats not far off to be honest. All of those farmed out on loan and those without a sniff of the squad are definates (in bold)

Chances are he'll have a few things in the pipeline (loan deals I expect) to compensate for losses.

Bruno N'Gotty

Only nine I know, but looking at the remainder of the squad, this would leave us with a good mixture of youth, emerging talent and experience.

If there is any sunstance to this, January should be very interesting as I would also expect the squad to be strenghtened.

  1. Hendo (end of the season)
  2. N'Gotty
  3. Worley (unless he improves a lot this season)
  4. Kishishev
  5. Clemence (wages are high and he isn't that much better then Weso or King any more)
  6. Campbell (like Fryatt League 1 is probably about his level)
  7. Fryatt (extend contract then sell at the end of the season, League 1 is about his level)
  8. Hayes
  9. Hayles

Whatever! He is shocking!

He will almost certainly be one of the 10, the problem is with him and players like Hayes, who the hell will come in for them? Make Conference players at best!

Surely we should keep Hendo until at least the end of the season, hes proved hes decent enough for league1 and IMO better than Martin.

I'd also (hopefully this ones going to happen :fc:) stick Howard on that list and get a better big man up front
