THE BBC is embroiled in a furious race row over talented BLACK celebs being booted off Strictly Come Dancing while WHITE stars with “two left feet” stay in.

Complaints have flooded into the BBC’s website in their hundreds since last weekend’s “unfair” dance-off between the 2008 show’s ONLY two black contestants.

Mixed-race singer Alesha Dixon WON last year, and athlete Colin Jackson was runner-up in 2005.

The evidence isn't that conclusive, whatever the NOTW may claim.

Is this just a pretext for the Murdoch press to have ANOTHER pop at the beeb?

Surely not..

Certain people are always going to get through because they're loved. The kid who played Spencer Moon in Eastenders got ridiculously far even though he was awful just because he played Spencer. Mark Foster is going to get ridiculously far if he keeps getting his rig out, he's the housewives' favourite! It's a little bit ridiculous if you ask me.

So should the BBC ignore the PUBLIC vote and rig the result just so there aren't two black people in the dance-off? I can just see that going down a treat.

It's hardly the BBC's fault if people aren't voting for these contestants.

As mentioned, it doesn't add much weight to the arguement when Alesha Dixon won last year.

Am I the only person in the country that has not watched this program or gives a flying fuck about it?:dunno:

No. No you are not.

They should be complaining about the vast number of gullibles actually phoning in - still if it keeps the cost of the TV licence down

The Government should intervene. Let the blacks and asians win, why not? I've got some spare trophies if they want a few. A bit more positive discrimination won't go amiss. In fact why not ban white people from winning anything for the next decade to make up for our sins in the past? We could even extend it to national and local government elections (if it's not already been done).

If you want to see some biased voting try the Eurovision Song Contest. I don't see too much campaigning on behalf of those poor, white, native Englanders when the boot's on the other foot and the Eastern Europeans are handing bloc votes to each other.

All I heard last time I watched was England, "nul points".

PS: I cannot understand the dancing votes anyway. You'd have thought the female vote would have helped. All the girls I ever knew loved dancing with black guys. Especially those end of evening smoochy numbers when you got to press up close. No idea why but I never heard any complaints about artistic impression!. :D

PS: I'm surprised there's not been a race element introdued to the City Player Ratings.

In fact, being white and English perhaps I shouldn't vote at all for the blacks and asians. Bloody hell, and Gradel/ Gilbert and Dyer have been among my favourites!

Fryatt and Kingy for England. :scarf: :scarf:

Didn't the Murdoch press previously encourage people to vote for the party the BBC so obviously favours?

So people are complaining that the BBC is racist for having two black people in the dance off? So they want the BBC to BE racist and rig it so black people stay in the competition???

On the one hand (not that this is proof) is it really surprising to learn there are racist undertones prevalent in the upper middle classes. F**k me this shouldn't come as a surprise. On the other hand who gives a f**k about a rubbish TV show. Stick to X Factor. Much better...

Do I have my rant in here, or in the 'what grinds my gears thread?' :@:@:@

I should rant in here, pal. After Lisa's rant it'll be like that famous line in Crocodile Dundee "Call that a knife". :D

That was quite restrained, to be fair.
