Simi Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Peter Kay needs to pull his finger out and start a new tour.
Bryn Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Peter Kay is damn funny, naturally funny as well whereas when you watch some comedians put on the spot they're not that witty no matter how funny their material is. Frankie Boyle is a good example of this, saw him trying to make jokes on various chat shows and I wasn't that impressed, his scripted stuff is usually good though. Lee Evans second, he's shite. Victoria Wood being in the bottom 10 is a travesty. And how can you not find Harry Hill funny, he's hilarious. Agree with Jo Brand and Paul Merton though, not that funny IMO. Michael McIntyre should be top 10.
lavrentis Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Harry Hill is funny and Lee Mack is just not funny at all.
Corky Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Alan Carr and Paul Merton are clearly in the wrong lists.
Libertine Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 No, just Merton. Carr shouldn't be that high up though.
Guest lcfc80 Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Harry Hill has to be just about the worse "comedian" there is
Zingari Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 i didn't even realise alan bennett was a comedian Mike McIntyre , Dara O' Briain ( OK not strictly brit )should be up there ricky gervais, paul merton ,harry hill on wrong list
Corky Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Harry Hill has to be just about the worse "comedian" there is Disagree mate, sorry. He is clean and harmless, and I like that
lavrentis Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Disagree mate, sorry. He is clean and harmless, and I like that True, and he makes unfunny things funny.
Zingari Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Disagree mate, sorry. He is clean and harmless, and I like that spot on harry hill has even managed to make "you've been framed" watchable , it would be crap without his voiceovers
JakeShingler Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Hy Hills well funny went to see him at De Mont a couple of years back class. No Chubby Brown
lavrentis Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Alan Carr is an appalling comedian. I agree and his high pitched voice gets on my nerves.
Jack Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Did anyone watch live at the apollo the other night, I liked that welsh bloke, well I think he was welsh, the one that was on about the duvet and that, anyone know his name ? Im a fan of Jimmy Carr, I don't think he should be in that list.
Corky Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Did anyone watch live at the apollo the other night, I liked that welsh bloke, well I think he was welsh, the one that was on about the duvet and that, anyone know his name ? Rhod Gilbert. I also like Stephen K Amos and Dara O'Briain. Can't stand Michael McIntyre.
Finnegan Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 Meh, proof that lowest common denominator humour is where it's at I suppose. Spike Milligan was an absolute genius and a vast majority of that top list are absolutely awful. Eddie Izzard's probably the only person on that list that's consistently hilarious for ninety minutes.
Samilktray Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 I like Chris Rock. Hes black and yes hes American. That should get that out of the way.
Finnegan Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 I like Chris Rock.Hes black and yes hes American. That should get that out of the way. Reginald D Hunter- he's funny Love both. Chris Rock makes me a little uncomfortable sometimes (his rant about black people vs. "niggaz" is a bit squirmish!) but he's genuinely hilarious. I think Christopher Titus is amongst my favourite US Comedians, though. He and John Pinette.
Joe. Posted 30 November 2008 Posted 30 November 2008 I thought Michael McIntyre was pretty good on Live at the Apollo the other night. I'd never really watched any of his stand up before, only seen him on panel shows where I thought he was shit, but I actually enjoyed his set (we'll get past the annoying voice eventually).
