Leeds Pre-Match Thread

The journey to and from Carlisle with Katy was funny as anything and made the day even more memorable. Fox Travel is what you make of it. If you get on the coach all doom and gloom looking for things that annoy you then you will hate it. Get on the coach with some mates, lighten up a bit and you can have a good laugh.

Oh and I've no idea what you mean by "fantastists" but I do know quite a few people who use Fox Travel who haven't missed a single game home or away in a good 8 years (longer in some cases) except for that Millwall game when away fans were banned. These people do exist you know. And as for your bit saying they're better than Howard? Stand anywhere in the Walkers Stadium and you will hear the same comments being shouted. Look at that guy at Carlisle who launced into a tirrade of abuse against Hobbs because of one mis-placed pass.

Journeys on Fox travel are generally dire. Maybe it was just Katy's hyperactive character that made it good, but give me a train or car over FT anyday.

Obviously the club have to put the coaches on and it serves a purpose but Its a last saloon for moi.

Hope they don't sack old Gary before Friday.

Yes, the bloke's potentially brilliant. Leeds just need to have some patience. Give the bloke time to build. It is easy to be too hasty with managers. McAllister's just having a bad run. All managers have them. Look at Pearson. Even he lost at the beginning of November! :D

I'm going with all the fantasists and twats on Fox Travel.

If you don't like it, don't use it! I use it because it's convenience. I can get on and sleep all the way there if i wanted to.

But anyway, about the match.

Leeds 0-4 Leicester

I have a good time when I travel with any friends on the coaches. I think even Bert would admit it's not as bad as people make out from when he came with us to Hartlepool.

Didn't Gary Mac make Coventry rubbish a long time ago and got sacked from them? I wouldn't be suprised to see Gus Poyet in the hot seat soon - potentially this week, the manager merry-go-round has already started!

Some people don't have much choice. :dunno:

I can't argue with it. I'm stating if there's a choice I'll stay away. Although my comment here kind of rules out the whole point of why I made my original post. :giggle:

Another annoying thing on FT = when we lose it's like a morgue, generally if you lose and you with your mates travelling, then I give it a decent chance something unusual or hilarious will come off. Better than hearing some sound off on the performance.

 Calm down? It was hardly a toys-out-of-pram rant.:S

Tilley made a valid point, I thought. :dunno:

who said ranting - just seemed a bit of dumb thing to say... i guess i should be used to it by now, the board is like a playground these days... (cue predictable counter from some 14 year old--- you know what tilley, i can't be bothered either, you just stick with your softporn gifs and your 'clever' cracks...

god, what if we do lose to leeds now, i'll feel like such a fool for encouraging this thread....

Are we allowed to be excited about this game now??? I'm going, much to the missus disgust! Just hope I get there on time and without incident!

careful - dangerous hints of sarcasm are also frowned upon...

Cue patronising response from someone older and supposedly wiser who seems to think smug superiority is the way forward. Yes, let's alienate every 'teenager' on the forum - in fact, i can't actually imagine why we allow them on here in the first place. Nasty.

If there's one thing i hate about this forum - it's the teenagers - they talk utter crap and can't spell.

Then there's the older people - they also talk utter crap but generally can spell and use posh words from time to time.

And then i have to add everyone else but me, because they're all twats.

So in short I just like reading my own posts - they are the most funny!

I also hate sarcasum - NOT!

patronising and smug? - i fail to see it, but equally i'm not gonna change the way i post, i think i'm a pretty straightforward poster, and it's been a long time since i let anybody on this forum wind me up...

it's a shame i couldn't just make a gently ribbing response to a, frankly absurd, post with out you wading in to stick up for him/her, talk about patronising.

and as far as 'alienating teenagers', nothing would be further from my mind, i don't know the age of most of the posters on here, i don't bother to check - however, it is clear that there are a number of posters on here just lately who suggest youth by their tediously juvenile posting, and i think we all know who they are! (not saying tilley is such a person, to be honest i was surprised how often he/she has posted, most of them must have slipped under the radar).

'every teenager', i expect better than hysterical generalising from you... and i'm sorry if that is patronising.

As Syston said, it's what you make of the journey that makes the difference. We are using FT purely because it is so much cheaper than driving there.

We could do with Peterboro' bouncing back against Millwall at home.

Gus Poyet to take charge do you reckon? I understand he's back there?

Maybe, but I have a feeling that they'll go for someone experienced at this level. I reckon they'll try and poach Steve Tilson.
