DJ Barry Hammond Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 His ability to be in two places at the same time is quite impressive. Might just be what we need to turn our form around- he could play and manage us. He was at the MK Dons game with Bates yesterday. I don't want him- we've tried with unexperienced managers and they haven't worked. Thought i heard that on Five Live yesterday - thats no coincedence me thinks, Gus is going to be your guy surely. The statement this morning seems to suggest they know who they're getting in.
Floating Fox Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Also: If anyone sings "you're not famous anymore" I'll happily chin them You know its going to happen.
Corky Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 But we weren't famous anyway. I always say that to my Dad when the opposition fans sing it.
Hullfox Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 Yes, the bloke's potentially brilliant. Leeds just need to have some patience. Give the bloke time to build. It is easy to be too hasty with managers. McAllister's just having a bad run. All managers have them. Look at Pearson. Even he lost at the beginning of November! Some quotes are priceless. CosbehFox Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 For me, the sacking of the manager could work in our favour. We've always done better with a side on come to us and attack. If Macallister stayed and given the heightened status of the game, he'd have probably been defensively tactically. I thought Tunch looked 80% fit and he could be a very important in such a situation as Friday's. Either way, it appears they can't handle the big men of the division or deal with set-piece. Nige, get them practicing on them tomorrow.

breadandcheese Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 The important thing is not to go into this game with any intrepidation. It'll be a tough game, and I don't think we should read too much into previous results at Elland Road this season as Leeds will be well up for it, but if we can frustrate them and get the first goal, we can sap the confidence from their players and take the three points.
smudge_lcfc Posted 21 December 2008 Posted 21 December 2008 im a yorkshire fox! live up in bradford but have been a city fan all my life due to my dad comming from leicester, therefore living in west yorkshire means nearly all my mates are scummy leeds fans so in the words of kevin keegan 'i would love it if we beat them, LOVE IT!' therefore its a shame McCallister didnt get sacked till after boxing day as when a struggling club sacks thier manager, its karma to win and win well in your next game..sunderland..blackburn..lets hope leeds don't as i'll have to lock myself in my apartment for months 2 avoide those bastards giving me shit!

Here's hoping for win, but if the worse should happen we'll still be top they wont be any higher than 8th and we'll still be 12 points clear of them.
Simi Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Expect a tough day from their stewards, from what I've read, not the nicest bunch.
Tilley Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 I will not be sitting in my seat. Row K, no thanks.
Matt Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Not sure if it's been posted yet. http://www.leedsunited.com/page/LatestNews...1496711,00.html Beckford could be back
Babylon Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Who cares... There is enough room for him in Tunchev's pocket.
morris1234 Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 set pieces will be key in this game, leeds have conceded loads from corners and free kicks recently and i think that will be their downfall. im going for a 1-1 draw however! prove me wrong city!

Kilworthfox Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 looks like grayson will be manager also.http://www.oddschecker.com/football/footba...rmanent-manager Will; be nailed by the end of the day!
Edmund Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 Will; be nailed by the end of the day! Im gutted because he will prob do a good job there. Was hoping they would get a peter taylor/ian holloway Didn't grayson have a good record against us as well. If i remember correctly blackpool came to walkers on the first day of last season and set up shop and knicked the game.
Matt Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 This has all the hallmarks for Leeds to hammer us. -New Manager. -The manager being a ex-Leicester player. -Beckford back. I always had abit of fear going into this match, but the last 2 days that fear has grew, But C'MON CITY!!!!!!!!
gerrytaggart Posted 22 December 2008 Posted 22 December 2008 even if leeds raise their game to impress any potential new manager i dont think they will be a match for city. We are dominating this league, looks like we are able to learn lessons whenever we drop points too which is something we havent seen for 6-7 seasons. maybe a certain secrtion of fans should just enjoy it rather than look for any minor negative aspect they can get their little girl fingers into.? eh.
