Guest Posted 30 December 2008 Posted 30 December 2008 I'm just intrigued as to whether anyone's got any new years resolutions and whether you think you'll stick to em? Maybe we could revisit this thread to see how we're all gettin on later in the year. Personally, mine are 1) to finally get rid of the belly left over from when I lost all my weight 2) to not be single this time next year (I've been perpetually sans girlfriend for the last year or so) 3) to take a nice long break and do some travelling Apologies if there's a similar thread but I couldn't see one when I searched
Daggers Posted 30 December 2008 Posted 30 December 2008 Yes I have - and I am starting one of them early just to make a few people happy.
MC Prussian Posted 30 December 2008 Posted 30 December 2008 Yes I have - and I am starting one of them early just to make a few people happy. You're going to be even more entertaining? Daggers Mark II? Personally, all I want to do is to work further on myself - in many ways. (No plastic surgery included)
Alexikokopops Posted 30 December 2008 Posted 30 December 2008 1) Only eat fast food when I'm hungover (I recently moved to a palce where McDonalds, Burger King, KFC and Subway are all within a 30 second walk) 2) Return to my regular running schedule (I live 5 minuets walk from Hyde Park, I have no excuse!) and hence use the belly I'm accumulating through (1) 3) Continue smoking (nobody likes a quitter)

In fact, they ARE the same. In addition however I would add: 1. Be a good uncle to my new niece due in April. 2. Go to at least 3 countries I've never been to before (if all goes to plan these should include Turkey, Israel, Jordan and Morocco).
The People's Hero Posted 30 December 2008 Posted 30 December 2008 1) Continue to pursue women who are out of my league. 2) Drink more 3) Have more fun 4) Refuse to acknowledge that February exists - staying in bed for it's entirety.

You're going to continue smoking? Awesome. I like the sound of your number two. So far I have China and Morocco in my sights.
James. Posted 30 December 2008 Posted 30 December 2008 You're going to continue smoking? Awesome. I like the sound of your number two. So far I have China and Morocco in my sights. I want to cut down on smoking (my intake increased after all those cigars I got through in Cuba) but I have no intention of quitting. Morocco looks fantastic, we're looking at spending a couple of nights in Marrakech before heading to Fez, the Atlas mountains and the northern Sahara (you can do trips where you spend the night in the desert, looks brilliant). That'll hopefully be August time and then in October we want to do Israel, Jordan and anywhere else in the Middle East where we won't get shot. Turkey is just a 3 night city break in February.

I had no idea you were smoking! I msised this boat. We are COOL. My cousin's mentioned a trip to Marrakech, I am keen as mustard. I'm going to visit my friend Lili in China. Visiting with a Chinese person will make thinks A LOT easier.

I'm not making any as I have a shockinging low willpower threshold.
Koke Posted 30 December 2008 Posted 30 December 2008 3) Continue smoking (nobody likes a quitter) That's it. That's my new year resolution for '09.
syston_fox Posted 30 December 2008 Posted 30 December 2008 Is this within the vicinity of Paddington by any chance? I'm not making any as I have a shockinging low willpower threshold. I've already made yours for the year though! Make sure you stick to it!! Mine is to just carry on as I have done. Works going ok, I'm (somehow) managing to negotiate my way to all Leicester games, and getting a few random matches thrown in. Generally feel quite relaxed in life so would like that to continue throughout the year.
Guest Posted 30 December 2008 Posted 30 December 2008 I don't see the point in new year's resolutions. If I'm going to do something, or change something, why wait until January 1st? I wish the tossers who will make the next three weeks at the gym a nightmare would think the same.
Libertine Posted 30 December 2008 Posted 30 December 2008 Ironically, hopefully put on weight. Try and reduce my crippling shyness even more. And maybe even get a boy girlfriend. Meh.

''I'm going to go to the gym more!'' My actual resolutions are to spend less money on nights out, and to actually try at Uni this year.
Alexikokopops Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 ''I'm going to go to the gym more!''My actual resolutions are to spend less money on nights out, and to actually try at Uni this year. I didn't grow to be as wise as I am by skimping on nights out and trying at Uni Sort it out!
fox123 Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 My resolution is to get a new job, whilst I enjoy my job the hours are getting stupid. Have an interview in London (Holland Park, Shephard Bush area) next week and then one in Coventry on the 16th.
The People's Hero Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 I didn't grow to be as wise as I am by skimping on nights out and trying at Uni Sort it out! Yeah, what Alex said.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 I'm going to try to be more like Sporticus
Darkzzz_ Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 New career is all that is on my list. I don't want to cut down on anything. I love fast food, I love a drink at the weekend, I love being a lazy slob. Why would I want to change that.
DB11 Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 Don't die. You do know most people fail to keep to their New Year Resolutions
lildave3 Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 You do know most people fail to keep to their New Year Resolutions I've kept this one for 17 years.
DB11 Posted 31 December 2008 Posted 31 December 2008 I've kept this one for 17 years. That must be a record! You should get like a medal or something
