Uncle Albert Posted 7 January 2009 Posted 7 January 2009 Saaafe. Not been at College this week due to illness so I have been pretty bored at home. Whilst being on Youtube I was looking up the 'Great One' and watching some off his interviews and promo's before matches. He is a ledge. So I think he deserves his own appreciation thread. Fairplay Rock the WWE is a sad place without you. What a guy!
ASH17LCFC Posted 7 January 2009 Posted 7 January 2009 I liked The Rock when he turned heel into HollyWood Rock and had that really cool music. My fav Rock promo Rock owns canada
GLC Posted 7 January 2009 Posted 7 January 2009 sedimentary rock but great guy, and great wrestler! greatest bits
Darkzzz_ Posted 7 January 2009 Posted 7 January 2009 Just reminds me of being a teenager again. I used to love it when he used to tear shreds off Coach. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=rTAVYTN4PpU
Finnegan Posted 7 January 2009 Posted 7 January 2009 Boy could that boy talk. That's seriously what the WWE lacks these days. It's the only reason John Cena is as big as he is - because he's mouthy.

And that was big!
Ashley Posted 7 January 2009 Posted 7 January 2009 I can remember when I used to watch Wrestling I used to love it when I was younger always used to watch it, i've seen it recently nothing like it used to be.
Uncle Monty Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Hogan was the best. My mate used to love The Rock, I'm old enough to remember when the rock was a baddie and back then 'the peoples elbow' was called 'the corporate elbow' the classic 'i quit' match between the rock and mankind was one of the best i've seen. The film The wrestler incidently is out soon and looks and sounds to be quite the motion picture.
Libertine Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 He is simply the master of mic skill. Absolutely hilarious. "You want some of The Rock's strudle.. Lillian?"
ASH17LCFC Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 The Rock v John Cena would be bigger than The Rock v Hogan at Wrestlemania X8. And that was big! Sorry but thats one of the most stupidest things i've ever heard. First Hogan vs Rock will never be beaten not even rock austin 3 or Austin Hogan. The match was between probally the 2 biggest draws in pro wrestling history. You had Hogan who revolutionise wrestling in the 80's and is maybe the biggest household wrestling name of all time against a bloke who made probally the biggest impact in wrestling in the 90's ( maybe more then austin ) also was the biggest name in wrestling at the time when wrestling was popular with everyone. The match also was Hogan first single match in wwe since he left back in 93. Cena is not nowhere near The Rock or Hogans level in terms of drawing people to a ppv. Cena is only over with 15 year old girls and little kids. Take when he faced HHH at Wrestlemaina, he got booed and he was suppose to be a face and HHH was getting cheered when he was supposed to be a heel ! Cena will never headline a Wrestlemaina match what will live in memory like Hogan Rock or Bret Hart HBK.
StanSP Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 When i was into wrestling, this guy was my favourite!! Also liked Stone Cold Steve Austin and when these two joined it was sooo good!
Tilley Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 He is a ledge. Agreed with you until you wrote this. God, I hate this saying. But yeah, The Rock was pretty damn cool. Fair play to him for packing the wrestling in and hitting Hollywood, he must be minted.
Father Ted Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Boy could that boy talk. That's seriously what the WWE lacks these days. It's the only reason John Cena is as big as he is - because he's mouthy.
BoneDog Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 I never watched much wrestlin but never forget him talking bout Rikishi I think. "Oh shut your mouth you thong wearing fatty". Class comedy. He also funny when talking to the cops. Kurt Angle used to make me laugh aswell playing the mardy sports guy
Libertine Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Kurt Angle was fantastic. Great wrestler too though. Shit in TNA, but might be coming back to WWE.
C-man Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 His autobiography is class. Definitely. I loved The Rock. Absolutely Hero, rather like Chris Powell.

I'm old enough to remember this when he was in 'The Nation' with Farooq, D-Lo Brown, Mark Henry and possibly Ahmed Johnson? I used to love 'The Corporation' Big Bossman was cool as. Then DX joined went downhill from then. That 'I Quit' match was unreal. King of the Ring? Watching it from Mankind's families view on 'Beyond the Mat' isnt very fun though. Sorry but thats one of the most stupidest things i've ever heard. First Hogan vs Rock will never be beaten not even rock austin 3 or Austin Hogan. Yea ok I might off been pushing the limits with Hogan Rock but it would be massive The Rock would attract that many more fans for that Wrestlemania it would be unreal. Surprised McMahon hasnt approached Rock about this. I think The Rock was the biggest impact on WWF in the 90's aswell The Rock went from nothing to being the biggest superstar in the space of a year. And what The Rock can do with the fans is out of this world. 'In 3 seconds they will chant The Rock's name' amazing! Austin could never interact with the fans aswell as Rocky. WWF was alot better than WWE! Wrestling went downhill after the WWF v The Alliance.
Tevez Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Old School wrestling = shit. New School wrestling = the bollocks John Cena Cofi Kingston Rey Mysterio and Cryme Tyme as a 5 man tag team, it can't get much better than that really.
Uncle Albert Posted 8 January 2009 Author Posted 8 January 2009 im watching the rock v hogan nowgreat fight You got one with good quality?
