Alexikokopops Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 i concur with dave g agreeing with webbo IT'S OL' TOM, TOM THE PEEPER HE PEEPS AND HE PEEPS AND HE PEEPS IN EVERYBODY'S HOUSE!
Brainy Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 Wouldn't it be great if Knowitall could come online and tell us whats happening with Davies.
Daggers Posted 24 January 2009 Posted 24 January 2009 Wouldn't it be great if Knowitall could come online and tell us whats happening with Davies. He doesn't need to - Davies is talking terms about moving into the Premiership...exactly what else do you need to know?
Calum McDermott Posted 25 January 2009 Posted 25 January 2009 The money spent on DJ is already spent so your point is redundant.Just because he's worth (in your opinion) more than £1million doesn't mean we shouldn't try and get him cheaper if possible, he is out of contract at the end of the season. The fact that we made such a pathetic bid has probably insulted wolves and they might not want to sell to us even if we outbidded bolton!
Webbo Posted 25 January 2009 Posted 25 January 2009 The fact that we made such a pathetic bid has probably insulted wolves and they might not want to sell to us even if we outbidded bolton! Wolves wanted to sell their player at the highest possible price, we wanted to buy him at the lowest possible price. That's business, it's all part and parcel of negotiating . Insults, hurt feelings any other such emotional bullsh1t don't come into it.
Thracian Posted 25 January 2009 Posted 25 January 2009 The fact that we made such a pathetic bid has probably insulted wolves and they might not want to sell to us even if we outbidded bolton! They'd soon change tack if we bid £1.2m. And even in credit crunch Britain he's worth that.
lookwhaticando Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 credit crunch Britain Sounds like a cereal, that does.
Mr Happy Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 This has become a very agreeable thread. I disagree
carterfox90 Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 a shame a chance to sign a great player passes us by again ie fulop
Ultra Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 I don't think we ever had the chance of signing Davies on a permanent basis . He was using his time with us to attract interest from a higher-ranked club - much like his new manager, in fact.
Daggers Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 Knowitall - can you confirm that the club has approached Chris Palmer?
StanSP Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 a shame a chance to sign a great player passes us by again ie fulop Davies just used us as a stepping stone. Knowitall - can you confirm that the club has approached Chris Palmer? Who is Chris Palmer?
Lillehamring Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 why don't we close this thread - it's not exactly 'latest' anymore, and there are about a million threads on davies elswhere... it's so full of crap and repition now, that if knowitall posts in it, it is easily missed or at least, considering his established knowledge, have a dedicated sticky 'knowitall exchange thread' for updates requests for information?
Daggers Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 why don't we close this thread Because I'm waiting for a reply about Palmer?
knowitall Posted 26 January 2009 Author Posted 26 January 2009 Knowitall - can you confirm that the club has approached Chris Palmer? No comment. Johnny Hayes is now back at Leicester. Big Steve is not well and its not looking good for Tuesday.
demon_dog Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 No comment.Johnny Hayes is now back at Leicester. Big Steve is not well and its not looking good for Tuesday. What's wrong with Steve, without him we will struggle.
Simi Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 No comment.Johnny Hayes is now back at Leicester. Big Steve is not well and its not looking good for Tuesday. To be fair, a game off would maybe be a good idea. Hasn't he only missed the Scunny match this season? Great return I reckon.
StanSP Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 What's wrong with Steve, without him we will struggle. Knowitall said he's not well
lildave3 Posted 26 January 2009 Posted 26 January 2009 No comment.Johnny Hayes is now back at Leicester. Big Steve is not well and its not looking good for Tuesday. :o That can't be good news.
