demon_dog Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 Ok so we're all on a high after tonights win at Yeovil. 7 points clear at the top of the league, 10 points clear of 3rd place. The question is can we keep it up? How do you see the next five games going? 1. Hudderfield Home Won last fixture 3 -2 2. Brighton Home Lost last fixture 2 - 3 3. Northampton Away last fixture Drew 0 - 0 4. Walsall Away last fixture Drew 2 - 2 5. Oldham Home last fixture Drew 1 - 1 (Live on Sky) 3 Draws, 1 win, 1 defeat. Will we improve on this?

Yes. 15 points is not un-realistic. I'll go for 11.
Uncle Albert Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 I'm feeling 12 points. Hate to say it but I can see us slipping up in one off those games.
NewquayFox Posted 19 January 2009 Posted 19 January 2009 15 points, be positive and feckin go for it.
Maybes Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 I think 13 points is what we will get. I'd be happy with 10+ as that is promotion form etc....
Guest Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 I think 13 points is what we will get.I'd be happy with 10+ as that is promotion form etc.... Me too I'll be happy if we do
Brainy Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 I remember someone started a similar thread just before we played teams like Brighton, Northampton and Walsall.. look how they went
BoneDog Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 I honestly think we will win all those games. Oldham signing Dean Windass worries me a bit cos I rate him highly for this level but I'm not sure how sharp he is nowadays (being 39 and all that). I'm not saying these teams can't threaten us, I just think our quality will shine through in each game, espeially with Davies staying a while and Cleverley joining til the end of season. They add some real talent to what we already have.
bluebeau Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 Yes. 15 points is not un-realistic. I'll go for 11. Yes I agree with 11 points, but I think that's possibly the minimum we will get, can't see us losing to any of those teams. So impressed with big Nige, Mr Cool, no bullshit, no mouthing off, just hope his success doesn't bring in the vultures to tempt him away at the end of the season.

Me too, but he seems like he really enjoys being at Leicester and thinks he can take us to another level, so I think he might be loyal as Martin was for so long despite the offers from 'bigger' clubs.
demon_dog Posted 20 January 2009 Author Posted 20 January 2009 Forgot to add for those that can't count that these five games only bought us 6 points. Now we seem to be avering 2.1 points per game so realistically on that basis we should see at least 11 points. Hopefully we'll take all fifteen up for grabs.
Asha Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 I'm feeling 12 points. Hate to say it but I can see us slipping up in one off those games. I agree with this, can see us slipping up at Walsall.
Tilley Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 The last time a 'Next 5 games' thread was made, it was around the Walsall, Northampton etc. games. I think we'll get maximum points out the next two home games, thats all I'm predicting.
lavrentis Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 WWWWW I have voted nothing less than a win each game this season
Number 6 Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 The form we are showing at the minute you can't see anyone beating us. Maybe a hard fought draw or two in there though.
JoeyB Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 I think 13 points is what we will get.I'd be happy with 10+ as that is promotion form etc.... fully agree, but 15 points is where its at with a 12 point lead.
Corky Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 If we can get through to Swindon on 72 points that would fantastic.
Jimmy2Drags Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 We'll win all 5. everyone we've played recently have just looked to defend & maybe counter attack (if they get the chance) Our squad is too strong & even without Tunch, we'll stroll to the championship.....let the good times roll!
J.Lisemore Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 i can see us slipping up againt Oldham but thats about it if im honest im going to go for 12 points.
MC Prussian Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 Northampton and Walsall away will be tough(er). As for the rest, I remain optimistic. Hence: WWDDW 11 points out of 15 max.
maddog Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 10 points. We will lose 1 and draw 1 of those games i feel. We have to lose another few games soon surely it can't go on like this much longer
