He was talking about automatic promotion, not the title--and in a no-margin-for-error scenario, Southend could catch P'boro.

A poor attempt at mind games. With the goal difference we're effectively five points ahead and 10 ahead of Millwall on the same basis. If we set out to score two goals or more in a game as we used to instead of the two goals we've managed in the last four games then I've no doubt we'll get back on track.

It's all about us imposing our game once more and having the component parts of the team supporting as a unit for 90 minutes instead of just parts of 90 minutes.

But if we seek simply to contain games or to try and stick on every one goal lead we have then there will be pressure. We need to regain our tempo and rediscover some enterprise instead of trying to crawl over the line like apologists.

It has not helped that there's so little real competition for places.

But he did say they all had the chance to test the mettle of the leaders- which is us- when they actually can't.

I suppose they could still catch Peterborough, but we only really need to worry about everyone from 2nd to 6th.

I couldn't really care a less what Mr. Fry thinks. I've never really heard him speak much sense. He's just trying to play mind games, let's hope it doesn't work.

The closer they get the more the pressure on them also to keep up their results... I think they'll get closer, and then drop off as they start feeling it too.

I'd have taken second at the start of the season.. as long as we don't stay in this fooking league he can say what he wants. I'm surprised people can understand him at all with mouthfuls of kebab and burgers the fat ****.
