Guest Bilo Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 MILLWALL PENALTY!Saved RETAKE! Saved again ANOTHER RETAKE! WTF is going on! GOAL! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Finally! I thought you were joking because my feeds a few minutes behind! What a farce! Still, 1-0 'Wall.
Corky Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 What a farce! But the linesman was right, Lewis was off his line before the ball was struck, so it had to be re-taken.
Finchy Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 It's good to see refs making them take it again when the keeper comes off the line, they are meant to do this, although they hardly ever do and i've seen a lot worse than that.
Trumpet Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 What a farce! But the linesman was right, Lewis was off his line before the ball was struck, so it had to be re-taken. I'm not too sure about the second penalty though!
leftsideoverhere Posted 13 April 2009 Author Posted 13 April 2009 Third time lucky with this penalty? I'll shut up, I think - the justin.tv feed is five minutes behind you lot!
MC Prussian Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 What a farce! But the linesman was right, Lewis was off his line before the ball was struck, so it had to be re-taken. Then again, there's numerous examples of goalkeepers in the Championship and the Prem doing the exact same thing and getting nowhere near a penalty retake. Poor Posh, Lewis must be gutted.

Don Goodman's argument was basically "He's done wrong, but so have others and not been punished". That's not the point, Lewis was punished because the linesman stuck to the rules. If a keeper wants to move forward, he should start behind the line.
Guest Bilo Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 NO-ONE LIKES US, NO-ONE LIKES US, NO-ONE LIKES US, WE DON'T CARE! (I'm turning into a Millwall fan, this can't be good. )
Ford Super Sunday Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 I so wish I didnt have shit, frigging Data Allowance internet!
Collymore Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 What a farce! But the linesman was right, Lewis was off his line before the ball was struck, so it had to be re-taken. The linesman has had a mare! All keepers come off their line when there's a penalty! Take a look at this for example! The keepers come off further than he did! Shocking stuff! There's no consistency in the game anymore!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Tried getting this on a BBC local station via online. Seems BBC Cambs have it, but not online for "contractual reasons" and BBC Essex have some community program on. Millwall is Essex isn't it?

The keepers come off further than he did! So this makes it alright? Someone else did it so we can? No, this linesman is sticking to the rules, it's the whole reason he stands in line with the goal to stop the keeper doing it because when you do it you get a huge advantage. Well played i say.

The keepers come off further than he did! Shocking stuff! There's no consistency in the game anymore! I don't think he has. I know all keepers do, but they should either change the rules and keep re-taking them. With the consistency issue, if it was the same linesman doing two different penalties and only noticed the first, then that's a problem. But this linesman has got it right in my opinion. However, this may change when one of our keepers saves a penalty and it has to be re-taken

Seems BBC Cambs have it, but not online for "contractual reasons" and BBC Essex have some community program on. Millwall is Essex isn't it? No. No, it's not. It's London, south London at that. Millwall's games are broadcast by BBC Radio London. But you won't get it online - you won't get any local BB commentary of any English league or cup football online, because the license agreement between the BBC and the football clubs / leagues is that they will not broadcast over the internet. That's because the clubs want you to sign up to Shittyworld instead.
Craig Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Ultra, what's the score? Ultra, Ultra, what's the score?
Guest Bilo Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 To be fair to 'em, Millwall really are playing out of their skins tonight. They haven't given up on automatic promotion, not by a long shot.
Guest Bilo Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Half-time and Millwall good value for their lead. Keep it up Lions!

I have read this quite abit, but on Friday I was listening to the Peterborough v Cheltenham game on BBC Gloucestershire over the internet.
