filbertboy Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 Eight goals in 18 Championship games! Yes the bloke's rubbish. He was never given a proper chance here and that is reflected in his comments. He was never the blue-eyed boy. A parting was/is inevitable. whats his goals games ratio for city ?
Joe. Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 whats his goals games ratio for city ? 4 in 35 league appearances. About one every 8 or 9.
Guest Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 4 in 35 league appearances. About one every 8 or 9. Thus proving that he has indeed had a fair crack to make an impression, and resulting in a pretty poor ratio. i won't miss him
C-man Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 Can't believe he's stupid enough to say something like that. What a dick. I hope we hold out for a fee, if not, let him rot for a season.
Ruralfox Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 Can't believe he's stupid enough to say something like that. What a dick.I hope we hold out for a fee, if not, let him rot for a season. The facts speak for themselves. D. J. Campbell made a total of 28 appearances for Brentford, under Martin Allen, scoring twelve times; under one goal every 2 games. At Birmingham he started twenty games, scoring twelve goals in all competitions; over one goal every 2 games. When he joined us due to the Martin Allen connection, there was an initial fee of £1.6 million, which could have risen to £2.1 million if certain conditions were met. This appears to have been MA's assessment of his worth. In his column on bbc.co.uk, someone called Ian Holloway, who purported to be manager of Plymouth Argyle, described the fee as 'absolute madness'. When we were relegated under (insert name of manager) he had made a total of 32 appearances.
Stig the Lawnmower Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 On a more serious note, my next door neighbour's cat has fleas. my cat smells
Daggers Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 my cat smells How does it smel.... Aw piss. Wrong joke.
renards Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 Bigger waste of money than Akinbye. Totally outshone pre season against Quorn Bye
Tuna Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 Good riddance to bad rubbish. I knew DJ would be a waste of money the moment we signed him. He built his reputation on 1 good game for Brentford in the FA Cup and was hopelessly out of his depth in the prem and just didn't lool interested in league 1.
Frenzied Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 What a prat. The bloke is clearly a half-wit and on the shite side of average in terms of his footballing ability.

I know I am - that's what my last annual performance appraisal said. What the heck footy skills have to do with killing people in Bhopal is beyond me. I have a sneaky feeling the same applies to DJ.

You mean DJ worked for Union Carbide as well as not being able to hit a barn door from two yards???!!!
MPH Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 also...I'd just like to add, as a professional its about how you take the knock backs...if he wasnt given a proper run in the side then thats because nige felt that we had better options....he should have tried to prove himself and force his way back into the side rather than act like a child and take a swipe at the club....that just makes him look like a lazy ****....come on...the most expensive ball boy in history next season??...whos with me???...milan? decent point ... Is DJ saying he would of got more goals than matty fryatt this season? as he was the only person he could fo realisticly challenged for a team spot - he sure isnt a target man.
Raj Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 I'd like to know who or waht has fcuked off young DJ so much for him to say such derogratory remarks about our beloved club. I always though he'd do well for us,however having read what he says he can fcuk right off!!
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 Other than winning the league thats the best football news i have heard this year st city, hes only been scoring penalties at Blackpool and punching tickets to go up the tower-good riddence
filbertboy Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 4 in 35 league appearances. About one every 8 or 9. As I thought hardly prolific.
Fox92 Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 Get him sold then, if we can get a few new strikers ourself. Doubt we will get £2,000,000 or whatever we payed for him...
Babylon Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 Get him sold then, if we can get a few new strikers ourself.Doubt we will get £2,000,000 or whatever we payed for him... £1.6m.... in installments of 800k.

He was never the blue-eyed boy. A parting was/is inevitable. Agree Thrac. Awful "striker". Needs about 50 chances to score 5 goals a season. Like Fryatt in the Championship?!? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Why was he never liked here? Is it because he isn't a "comedian" like Barry Hayles , because he damn sight better footballer. & I would rather have him on the bench than fucking Dickov. Good luck DJ, hope you bang in 20 next season, wherever you end up.

He should have been good enough to be on the pitch.... he wasnt. I know its not his fault how much we paid for him but thats the main reason he disappointed I think. Plus he just didnt look like he was bothered a lot of the time.
iancognito Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 St George's Day today. St Nigel's Day tomorrow. And DJ Campbell doesn't want to come back! If I had a burger in one hand, a beer in the other and a night of sexual favours from Megan Fox refusing to take 'no' as an answer, my week couldn't get better Yes, he never had a proper chance here but telling the club who owns your contract to fook off when it's got a year to run is pretty stupid. He should have said he wanted to fight for his place even if he did want to play for Blackpool. I actually thought he had a good turn of pace and a good touch but if that's how he feels good riddance.
Samilktray Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 Nigel just needs to put his arm round him. All he needs.
