C-man Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 DJ probably isn't that bad of a player, but seriously Tilley, he couldn't give a shit about this club, and that was proved by his performances and scoring record. That's probably why he was never liked here.
Koke Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 His whole career is based on one good cup run and he got lucky that Small Heath fell for it. And they made us look like a bunch of tits when we overpaid for that one hit wonder. He's a poor mans Elvis, and that's one of the worst insults in footballing terms.
Ultra Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 Badmouthing a club which still pays nearly two-thirds of his wages is not a smart move.. He should be offloaded to the first club that puts a bid in for him. If he doesn't want to move on then he should be left to rot, as has happened with various other members of the squad (Logan, Worley, Psssh)
TrickyTrev Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 I would have kept him if he didn't mind but if he don't want to play here then We must have a replacement lined up, a strikeforce of Fryat/Howard both fooking dire in that division last season, with Dickov/Hayles/Chambers as back up. O my god We must have 2 other strikers lined up, if we haven't we need 2 new strikers! Bazza must be out of contract? We didn't give him three years did we? Surely we weren't that stupid?! DJ has had plenty of chances and never done it for us. With these few goals he has bagged we may be able to get a fair bit of money back for him, that can be spent on a player that wants to play for us.
ASH17LCFC Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 One of the worst City players of all time ? Couldn't finish, couldn't stay onside, couldn't score. DJ if your reading this, your a loser.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 The man's an absolute chode Chode a very underated word, well done on using it Al
Ultra Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 DJ if your reading this, your a loser. Even if his Championship scoring record is twice as good as Fryatt's?
davieG Posted 24 April 2009 Author Posted 24 April 2009 He scored more goals from less appearances than Fryatt did last year As for saying he doesn't want to come back, he's obviously been told, for whatever reason that he's not wanted back so is appealing to the Blackpool fans in order to get a contract there - not exactly a unique approach in the sordid world of professional football - simple really. Anyway their Manager seems to rate him. Blackpool caretaker boss Tony Parkes has revealed he is looking to sign DJ Campbell and midfielder Charlie Adam on permanent deals during the summer. Striker Campbell, 27, has become a firm favourite at Bloomfield Road, scoring eight goals in 18 appearances since arriving from Leicester in January. "DJ has been a big plus for us," Parkes told BBC Radio Lancashire.
Darkzzz_ Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 I think Kareem hit the nail on the head, one good cup run and he was suddenly a superstar. He couldn't even score in the England blind team. Bye DJ.
The People's Hero Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Elvis > DJThere, I said it. I think that's going a bit far. Neither would be sought after card in the world of LCFC strikers top trumps, though.
turkish14 Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 The man's an absolute chode Chode........ im sure you used the word Hoober in another thread you are a walking talking dictionary, i bet your awesome at scrabble
Alexikokopops Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Even if his Championship scoring record is twice as good as Fryatt's? That still didn't stop you judging him after he'd played just one competitive game for us and even speculating that Fryatt was the sharper striker, even though DJs Championship scoring record was better even then. I mean, for someone you described as seeking to "undermine and belittle a team-mate" I'm just a bit surprised that you disagree with ASH17LCFC when he insults him Chode........im sure you used the word Hoober in another thread you are a walking talking dictionary, i bet your awesome at scrabble Maybe goober but not hoober As for Scrabble, if I was on my home computer I put up here a picture of the greatest game of Scrabble ever played which I was thankfully a part of. Unfortunately Facebook is blocked at work
AyewJoking Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Cant believe he'd say that! Anyhow, fúck him. We'll get by without him. And you Blackpool fans dont think for one second he'll stay cos as soon as a more glamourous club shows an interest, he'll be off.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 The Heroes in blue and white lyric must have clearly have hurt him Loved him for his goal at Chelsea though
MC Prussian Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Just don't forget to cash in nicely when he's going to Blackpool. After all, he's worth his money.
Jordan Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 First Mark Morrison, now DJ Campbell... what is so bad about Leicester that is making all of these legends of their crafts want no longer to return?
jonw88 Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 First Mark Morrison, now DJ Campbell... what is so bad about Leicester that is making all of these legends of their crafts want no longer to return? Mark "Mack" Morrison did return though, however I wouldn't mind to see DJ leave, I doubt blackpool or anyone else will want to pay £1.6m for him though.. wonder how much he's worth now?
Ozwin Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 What a bellend. We fooking paid your wages for what seems like a bloody eternity and you've done **** all, I don't see how he can have the cheek to come out with that.
J.Lisemore Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Mark "Mack" Morrison did return though, however I wouldn't mind to see DJ leave, I doubt blackpool or anyone else will want to pay £1.6m for him though.. wonder how much he's worth now? About £500,000...if that.
Ultra Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 That still didn't stop you judging him after he'd played just one competitive game for us and even speculating that Fryatt was the sharper striker, even though DJs Championship scoring record was better even then. He's proved his worth as a goalscorer in the Championship for two different clubs - shame neither of them was us. Yes I did question his attitude on his debut. Going by this thread it doesn't look as I'm my own there, does it? But thanks for dredging up one of my posts from 20 months ago. I couldn't remember (or give a toss about) anything you've posted this week.
General Smuts Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Psssh EDIT: Psssh makes a lot more sense now.
