James. Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 Everton... arent exactly known for their loud fans. Yes they are.
Matt Posted 28 April 2009 Posted 28 April 2009 Everton fans arent exactly known for their loud fans. To be fair to them in the semi-final v Man Utd they made a pretty good atmosphere and noise, The first atmosphere and noise I have actually heard at an atmospherless Wembley.
lcfc_jme Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Everton fans have actually been voted pretty much the loudest on average for a random game in the Prem. Louder for most Prem games than Libpool, who are ****ing woeful in the stands for run of the mill games. Meh. As if the FA care. Money and profit is everything to them. Real people mean **** all.
Tommeh Posted 27 May 2009 Author Posted 27 May 2009 This is it then for 3 months. Come on Everton. Need another pub shift for this, hoping it'll be packed out with Chels.
Ultra Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 It'll be good to see the rent boys miss out on a trophy for the second season in a row. Probably will end up a borefest, though, like the two league games between these teams..
Tommeh Posted 27 May 2009 Author Posted 27 May 2009 The recent cup finals have been snoozefest's yes ft. Chels, United and okay the Pompey - WBA was a freak event but hoping this will be on par with Pool - West Ham of a few seasons ago as in a big 4 player favourite in Chels against a chaser in Everton. I actually predict a decent game for once. Ohhhhh Fellaini.
Bert Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Tom, not that I wanna dash your hopes or anything, but both Chelsea-Everton games this season have finished 0-0.
Joe. Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Timmy Cahill to pop up with a salmon header from a corner in the dying seconds would be nice. That or Fellaini to bag.
Tommeh Posted 27 May 2009 Author Posted 27 May 2009 Tom, not that I wanna dash your hopes or anything, but both Chelsea-Everton games this season have finished 0-0. I'll stick my neck out Rob. Soar point agian?
Bert Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 I'll stick my neck out Rob.Soar point agian? Possibly mate. Can't see it being as rammed as tonight, which means seating will be a lot easier.
Tommeh Posted 27 May 2009 Author Posted 27 May 2009 Possibly mate. Can't see it being as rammed as tonight, which means seating will be a lot easier. Yeah could be cosy. Can't see many quid burgers knocking around however. God that was good. Me, Joe and Ben will defenatly be down again, so quick walk through the smoke for you and Fellaini will be well supported.
Asha Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 I'd pay 100 quid if we reached the FA Cup Final. I'd obviously rather it was cheaper, but who are we kidding? It's the FA Cup final.
dandannieldanok Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 This has got 0-0 written all over it, Everton will not change their approach from the semi-final which was pretty negative. I'd like Everton to win but not necessarily if it's a repeat of their semi-final.
Ultra Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 The negativity served Everton well against Liverpool and Manyoo. Don't expect them to change tomorrow. The only way the final will be remotely interesting is if Chelsea manage an early goal. Then we'll see whether Moyes has a Plan B.
Fox You Forest Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 My fiver tomorrow will be going on Cahill first goal scorer. I'm on a role seeing as Rooney came through for me.
leicesterseddon Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 I'd pay 100 quid if we reached the FA Cup Final.I'd obviously rather it was cheaper, but who are we kidding? It's the FA Cup final. Same. But this is why the FA has to be a bit more responsible about ticket prices - it has a captive audience willing to pay top dollar, but the FA is not just another business, in which case I wouldn't begrudge them making money (after all, the stadium is still going to be full). It is meant to be the patron and guardian of our national game, and a guarantor of its future. That's what really irks me.
Koke Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 The notion that Everton are a negative team is just a massive myth. Cahill, Fellaini, Arteta, Pienaar, Osman, Yakubu et al. are all excellent attacking players. They didn't finish 5th by being negative cunts.
MC Prussian Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 I hope Everton win this one. Just for the sake of the game. Leave Chelsea without a title for once. C'mon, you Toffees!
Joe. Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 This is set up to be one of the dullest encounters ever witnessed in an F.A Cup final. 1-0 Chelsea.
StanSP Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Interesting stat that could prove a good omen for Chelsea: In each of the last four seasons, the club knocking out Middlesbrough has gone on to finish runners-up in the competition. Everton ousted the Teessiders in the quarter-finals. I hope Everton win to be honest. I don't like Moyes that much but there's no way I can deny what a great job he has done at Goodison. As long as there is goals I'll be happy.
lcfc_jme Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Chelsea 1 - 0 Everton. Awful game, no major incidents or talking points, and a whole lot of media jizzing of Chelsea's "resilience and spirit to overcome a dogged Everton side". Yawn.
