Cup Final

I know what you mean. As a kid, we used to have the European games on the TV, the English fans in a little corner, the commentators used to commentate down a phone line back then, making it seem even more hardcore!! I used to watch them and say I wanted to see Leicester abroad. My dad would just laugh. :(

Going abroad with Leicester is one of the best experiences I've had watching this team. They should bring back the Anglo-Italian cup!

Me too Lisa, walking down that long street in Madrid and all you could see in every bar and cafe was a sea of blue, the best memory I have.

Oh and getting front page of the Mercury for going toilet when we scored making my dad miss the goal. :P

Why do people assume that the 40k spare tickets will all go to non fans? A large proportion of those tickets will be distributed to the various local FAs so that volunteers can apply (and pay ) for them, some of these will be fans of Everton and Chelsea. This has been the situation for as long as I can remember.

As for the corporates a lot of these tickets will be given to valued customers who are fans of the 2 clubs, some will be competition prizes. You don't begrudge people the chance to win a ticket to the Cup Final do you?

And the left overs will go to corporate bigwigs, but just because they earn big money doesn't mean they're all prawn sandwich eating non fans.

You must have been about 7 or 8!! Which is funny, as it's about the number of pints I had before the game!

Why all the talk about the Cup Final?

We played ours on Easter Monday apparently.

Don't forget that of those 40,000 seats, 17,000 have already been apid for through the club wembley scheme....

In its sales pitch for the most luxurious seats, which will account for 20 per cent of the 90,000 capacity, Wembley National Stadium Limited yesterday gave the public the opportunity to guarantee a seat and in-stadium hospitality at all 12 "core" events per season during its first decade. However, those joining the "Club Wembley" premium-seating scheme will be committing themselves to an outlay of over £20,000.

Wembley has divided the price for the 16,000 behind-goal "club" seats into a licence fee of £3,900 for the 10-year period and a season ticket at £1,350 a year. When VAT is added, the overall cost rises to £20,445, or £167 per match, although the price will remain fixed.

So realistically, its 23,000 tickets for sponsors and the FA grassroots stuff scheme and that.

Still a poor effort by the FA

Prices:

£93

£78.30

£58.65

£34.30

Each team recieves 25,000 allocation each, meaning in a 90,000 seater stadium 40,000 are going to sponsors, corporates and let's face it complete ******.

And tickets for the bottom bracket are only numbered at about 4,000 each team and are situated up in the Gods.

If Bin laden wants to bomb Wembley soon he'd probably be doing English football a favour.

They have an overly expensive shit atmosphere less stadium, & they are selling their souls for every penny they can just so they have their "Wembly". Fookin ****s know fook all about football & real fans.

Hardly a scheme for the working class though.

The fact is, around 20000 fans who have followed these clubs week in, week out will be denied the chance to attend what, at least for Everon, will be their biggest match in a decade.

Once again, the greed of the FA has shafted ordinary fans..

Apparently for the JPT final you get even more!

Not that we'll ever have to bother with that...

Never said it was, especially at £20k over the 10 years.

Just stating that the 40,000 tickets havent been given out willy nilly...they can't give 17,000 extra tickets at least becuase they were sold to help pay for the stadium

Thought that the Everton fans had a good go at it on sunday though!!

Sky TV and the new Wembley, perhaps?

But yeah, as much as I'm disgusted by the new Wembley and the FA in general, I'd love for us to get to a major cup final and earn a European spot that way (if that's still the case?). I'd pay whatever was required to go and watch us in some remote Eastern European country. That'd be ****ing mental.

Thing is, with Ryanair...You could probably do it cheaper than the cup final trip.

As if. We'd probably draw Sporting Lisbon in the first round and get a pasting, seems to be the way of things when Leicester are in Europe.

A lot of tickets are given out per county fa. (I got one for Brazil-England in this manner). A lot of them go to league secretaries etc., volunteers, refs and officials etc. It's okay I suppose as it goes to the footballing family rather than some noob whose there on behalf of the sponsorship but really for a cup final, 60k should at least go to the clubs.

Sounds about right what year was it, '98? Daddy treated me for getting a good school report lol

The FA still have to pay off hundreds of millions for Wembley, so who are they gonna cater for, the sponsors & cooperates who are willing to pay big bucks for seats or the average fan? It's simple economics.

Wondered how long it'd be before someone made this point. It really is down to money. It's not right but it's inevitable. I'm surprised so many people are outraged, it's not exactly a surprise is it. The whole project was a farce, particularly when you compare the costs to other stadiums such as the Emirates or Millennium. It's one big **** up and one that will be rammed down our throats in the first 20 minutes of the second half when the red empty seats around the half way line will be broadcast around the world as the corporates finish their half time champagne. Embarrassing.

Not to say I wouldn't take up a corporate ticket if one comes my way, obviously. No luck so far though.

But the "footballing family" have no affinity to the competing clubs.

The likelihood is a lot of these seats will find their way into the heands of touts.

Now we know why Manyoo were less than bothered about winning the semi.

How long before we see 70k corporates and 10k for each club?

I can see it heading that way :(

Yea course it will.

Everton and Chelsea fans should feel very upset by this.

Everton and Chelsea have only been allocated 24,000 tickets each for the F.A Cup Final.

F.A shits

How do they get away with giving less than half the stadium to real fans of the clubs involved in a massive game like this? Is it always like this for finals at Wembley? I'm fuming, I aint even gonna watch it now (might get tempted on the day though and change me mind) and am gonna try never to put another penny in the F.A w*nkers pockets.

All football fans should try and stop these people from taking the pee out of us on our greatest days. I'm absolutely fuming about it  (that's the first time I've used this emoticon)

Its a disgrace, I wonder if similar cup finals in europe have the same allocation, doubt it.

I can imagine the FA cup atmosphere being really poor this year, I think a Man u v Arsenal match would have been tonnes better. Everton and chelsea fans arent exactly known for their loud fans. And the allocation isnt going to help.
