Finnegan Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 It's not purely his diving, though. It's his general attitude to being "injured/hurt", his time wasting, gamesmanship, complaining, bad attitude towards the officials and general twattishness. He's infuriating.
Koke Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Yeah, I can't defend him really. He's 31 years old and you would have thought he has matured from all that childish malarkey. I just don't think he's half as bad as he's made out to be. But maybe that's just me though.
StanSP Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Is there still extra time in cup finals? If there is, I'd hate to be any of those players in this heat!
MC Prussian Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 I think playing in the cooling shadow might give Everton the extra edge. With the Chelsea defenders exposed to the sun, it could tire them more (in addition to being blinded).
Guest Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Some of those Chelsea "fans" looked truly delighted. If that was City taking the lead in the Cup final, I would still be bouncing this time next week! This is why I can't get excited about this competition.
AjcW Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Spoke too soon.Thankfully no extra time..I hope. Well youve just gone and near on guaranteed there will be haha.
Matt Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Cech is normally really reliable but he's looking very dodgy on a couple of occasions this afternoon. C'mon Everton you can still do this!
Matt Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Lampard's taking tips from Drogba now, there was contact but a very OTT fall.

Last season he was superb. Think the turning point was the Euros, where he made that howler against Turkey. He has looked dodgy throughout the season from what I've seen. To me, he was a contender for best goalkeeper in the world. he has lost that this season.
Number 6 Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 It irritates me everytime he says Nicolas Anelka. Hate ITV football.
Koke Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Phew no extra time. Now for a nice relaxing swim. I'm sure if you won the lottery you would still say something negative about it. Enjoy your swimming. Not sure why you bothered watching the game if you knew it was gonna a be bore fest as you keep banging on about, yawn.
Granno Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 I quite enjoyed it myself. Could have gone either way, but Chelsea just edged it. Fair play.

Asha Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Seriously though im still struggling to believe that girl is 13, haha. THANKYOU! Easy mistake to make. Some of those Chelsea "fans" looked truly delighted. If that was City taking the lead in the Cup final, I would still be bouncing this time next week! This is why I can't get excited about this competition. My brother, supposedly a Chelsea supporter, didn't move at full time. Just sat there bored, if anything. Like someone on here famously said (think it was Ched)...these fans can win the league or cup and still not be as excited as us when we score at somewhere like Preston.
Corky Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 The Chelsea fans looked bored when they scored, as though "well we were meant to, and we did, so yay". At least the players looked delighted.
Edmund Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Not a bad game to be honest. Pretty much everything you would expect from a cup final. Fair play to Everton gave it a good go and a class finish from Louis. ITV football coverage was annoying. The amount of advert breaks after the game is shocking, missing most of the celebrations. Sky will at least have a lengthy ad break but will then have some in depth footage for a bit not switching to adds every five minutes. Wish BBC had it. Oh well

C-man Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Enjoyed that. Chelsea are pretty enjoyable to watch when they go forward. Ashley Cole really wanted it today. The amount of times he got round Floromon Kalouda was terrific. There were several Chelsea fans watching the game where I was, all of whom just clapped approvingly at full-time. Ungrateful bastards.
purpleronnie Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 Cole had nothing to do o of course he pushed forward, everton did nothing after the goal, so I'm gld chelsea won it. And if that was a good game they boy the premiership must be really dull.
