stevie909 Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 i can remember someone saying when the jako kit came in that every time we wore blue shorts we got promoted. well obviously not true for last season, but weird how we actually did end up getting promoted during its cycle. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Leicester_...cester_City.htm - 93/96/03/09
Sods Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Looks alright, nice material. At least we dont have topps tiles on it. Like it.
Finchy Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 and Deportivo La Coruna and Getafe Deportivo are Canterbury now but Racing Santander have Joma too.
volpeazzurro Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Can't help but be a bit disappointed. I was sort of expecting them to stick with the badge on the left. The Joma symbol is huge. It almost offsets the whole sponsorless thing. I tend to agree with you. Typical Leicester, just when you thought they'd come up with a great idea they cock it up! Is JOMA Serb for cheap and nasty? If it had been a small Nike tick or similar ok perhaps, but why the big JOMA, and before we say its because of a manufacturer and they insist, in the present climate as a bunch of no marks they should be greatful to get the business. I agree with the offset badge personally but I suppose that a matter of personal taste. The collar etc looks naff. Its just a bit of a shame really because without a sponser on the front it was an opportunity for a one off iconic shirt that would pay financial dividens for years to come.

Why do people think Joma is a sh*t make? It's good enough for Seville it's bloody good enough for us. Also when was the last time we had an amazing brand make our kit?
iancognito Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Like it overall. The joma bit is too big, the collar's a bit odd and I'd have preferred the badge to one side but that's just minor detail. Compare it against some of the terrible Fox Leisure efforts and it's a work of art.

eraserhead66 Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 I like the shirt! May even be tempted to buy one! The first thing I think of is Rangers, although I have no idea what their current kit looks like!! I must be thinking from a good few years back!
Koke Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 I agree, if it's good enough for Seville, then it's good enough for us.
Finnegan Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Thing is, their kit looks like a football kit. If it was that in blue and white I'd have no problems at all. I have no issue with the maker, I'm fine with Joma. I just think it looks... I dunno. It just doesn't strike me as a football shirt, as odd as that might be to say. It really looks like a training shirt.
Joe. Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Saw two fans around the ground wearing it today, not too sure where they got it from though.
lavrentis Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 LCFC are so demanding with their "wallpaper". "PRE-ORDER NOW" Like we're all a bunch of monkeys
eraserhead66 Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Does anyone know when its supposed to be on sale in the shop (not pre-order)?
Joe. Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Does anyone know when its supposed to be on sale in the shop (not pre-order)? July normally.
Bluefoxtim Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Does anyone know when its supposed to be on sale in the shop (not pre-order)? Start of July (as opposed to the beginning of June for those who pre-order) I was going to pre-order online but there doesn't seem to be any way to you the 20% vouchers... £43 Guess Ill just wait.

I think your right,i reckon it because the logos in the centre, theres something not right about it.
BlueSi13 Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 Hmm i like it, it grew on me! was completely underwhelmed when i first saw it but now im starting to like its simplicity, also looks quite figure hugging too so it will hopefully look pretty neat on! although i will say the publicity shots are very dark, only seeing it in broad daylight will i be able to fully decide whether ill be buying it or not! though i'd probably have the coca-cola badges on mine, just to make absolutely sure people dont mistake it for a training top! Really wished the club had decided to opt for yellow or gold socks though! something new for the anniversary! Does anyone have an idea of when the away strip will be announced? Please god make it the black shirt with light blue sash, or the sky blue/brown halves! Champions!
Matt Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 I've pre-ordered, I would prefer the Joma and the badge to be either side, not centralised (Like the Seville shirt - That is REALLY nice), but I still like it!

AmericanScott Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 I like it. It's very nice. Will be getting one when they go on sale.
Ozwin Posted 24 April 2009 Posted 24 April 2009 That red Seville shirt is horrible. The Joma and badge don't even seem aligned with the sides of the shirt. I much prefer the central business we have.
