Babylon Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 in all seriousness do you think mm will fork out 2.5mil or anything near that figure for an unproven player at this level? Not up front.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 Well in the past he's managed to "guess" about Alnwick in, Bori in, Gradel to Bournemouth, Bradley Johnson going to Leeds, Sheehan turning down contracts before it was reported and that he was going to Leeds, De Vries to Dundee United, Hayes to Northampton, our interest in Scott Sinclair (confirmed after by Holloway), Osbourne training with us and getting recalled by Villa (confirmed after by Holloway), Harry Worley in, Brett Ormerod going on loan to Forest from Preston, McAuley to Ipswich, our pre-season trip to Slovenia, Tunchev in, Gilbert in, James Chambers to Doncaster, Berner in, Dickov in, Powell in, Worley to Luton, Edworthy in, Verma in, Bunn in, and Brown and Hobbs on a permanent. If he keeps guessing like that then I'm going to keep listening. I stood up halfway through reading that post, put my hand on my chest and bellowed out the national anthem. YES MARSH.

Milky Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 Earlier on Wednesday Cox's agent, Alex Cowdy, told BBC Scotland that Celtic and Leicester City had both had offers rejected for the 22-year-old."Throughout the season, there have been a lot of clubs watching Simon, including Celtic," said Cowdy. "As far as I understand, there have been two offers put to Swindon that have been rejected - an offer from Celtic and an offer from Leicester City. "The Swindon chairman has come out in the press and said that Simon remains a Swindon player and it's going to take something special to get him away from the club and I think he values Simon at around £2.5m. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...tic/8059535.stm
Father Ted Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 I think that we shouldn't pay any thing more than £2m for Cox. I have a bad feeling of Deja Vu. Just think Dudley.
StanSP Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 I think that we shouldn't pay any thing more than £2m for Cox. I have a bad feeling of Deja Vu.Just think Dudley. Even that is too high. Think 1.5m max.

knowitall Posted 20 May 2009 Author Posted 20 May 2009 I post on this forum only and only things I have heard or seen with my own eyes. I listen into things I have no right to have done. I did this with both these players. I was then lucky enough to talk to both players. I talked to N'Guessan for about five minutes. We laughed and joked and in this time he made it clear signing for Leicester was his number one choice. Coupled with the fact he was at Leicester at the request of Leicester. He said other things that gave he no doubt that a deal was very nearly done. Simon Cox I only talked with for about a minute. He seemed very happy with Leicester. He also said Leicester was a big step up and Leicester where a very big club. I can not tell you what was said in full as this may point to me. Also sometimes players tell you what they think you want to hear. I can not blame them as clubs say anything to get players to sign. Prime example of this was Patrick Kisnorbo whom would wind me up at every given chance. He even once got his mate to ring me up and pretend to be Martin O'neil. Saying Aston Villa are going to sign Patrick. It may have worked if his mate had no got a ozzie accent. I only post on here to give infomation to Leicester fans. I never lie or give misleading info. Yes I do have to guess sometimes but It is always an educated guess.

You don't need to defend or explain to me, your record speaks for itself and you have proven you are quite a reliable source, and I will allow you the odd blip of information here and there Your information may prove true in this case anyway, From what i've seen in the past it is very unusual for players to sign or announcement's of signing this quick after the season/early in the summer, It's normally when the players are back for pre-season isn't it?!
