Head Honcho Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Right, Now that is out of the Way, lets take FIFA DOWN! Go Panaroma! Kill!!! My thoughts exactly. There's nothing to lose now if someone in our bidding team thinks there's corruption and have proof to back it up then shout it from the rooftops.
Dr The Singh Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 I didn't think we would get it, and we didn't. Honestly thought Spain\Portugal would get it!! Surprised about Qatar though, thought Aussies or Yanks would get it!!
The Doctor Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Qatar - fucking . Wait...that means they'll be in the World Cup...deary me. probably the worst host country in terms of ability on the pitch & conditions off the pitch. Still they're rich enough to afford to make a sizeable donation to sepp blatters wallet pretty much rebuild the entire country to make it possible to host it. I blame cameron - he's nowhere near as scary as putin - look at them both.
Guest lcfc80 Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 we only got 2 votes out of 22 we only got 2 votes out of 22 and 1 was our own vote
Fox You Forest Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Yep and one was us voting for ourselves.
Ozwin Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 2 votes is embarassing. What does everyone have against us? It doesn't make sense. We could host it tommorow if we wanted, we'd probably host one of the best World Cups of all time and we get 2 votes. Definately something fishy going on here.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 I wonder if Qatar will be allowed to 'buy' players for the WC 2022 like they are allowed to 'buy' athletes to 'change' nationality to compete tournaments. The rules of 'once you've played for one you can't play for anyone else' can be conveniently ignored I reckon.

I would assume they'll just pack their midfield with former Kenyan middle-distance runners to be honest.
Tilley Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 I hope an African nation wins the 2018 World Cup and I hope Israel win the 2022 World Cup.

Like I said earlier, the English FA should setup and host a football tournament in the summer, just to prove our capability. You don't have to have the worlds best teams, even having some smaller international teams, it would draw interest internationally and make a mockery of the FIFA selection process.

Well for a start our state broadcaster accused them of accepting bribes, or accepting members who accept bribes. They are so far up their own arses that they think they are be above such petty nonsense, and hence feel slighted. Then again if the BBC were so confident about their findings, why did the BBC Sport sight have the words alledged by Panaroma etc all over it.
Jordan Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 who said anything about forced labour you nipple, if it creates jobs, which it will, im sure that the local people will be happy to work http://www.unhcr.org/refworld/docid/4c1883cc23.html ...Or do your own search for information--you'll find a lot more accounts that detail who builds what in Qatar. They're not exactly "local people" and plenty aren't "happy." Here's hoping things change for the better soon.
Samilktray Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 I think Angola should fancy themselves for the 2018 World Cup.
Ozwin Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 First round: England 2, Holland/Belgium 4, Spain/Portugal 7, Russia 9 Second round: Holland/Belgium 2, Spain/Portugal 7, Russia 13 Winner: Russia

What made two voters change to Russia?

Mack Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 As I said before, you can thank our media for that embarrassing showing. England will never ever get the World cup again.

Kent Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Russia doesn't annoy me too much but Qatar?! What a fookin' joke. They've never even taken part in a World Cup. I think their stadium might need expanding slightly for the World Cup Final.
