Wycombe Fox Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Qatar? Do they even play football? Come on, get it off your chest. (There's actually a joke in there!)
City_4_Life Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 How our bid can be the worse of the 4 is ridiculous, probably didnt even get one vote.
Sly Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 same, get rid of pointless friendlies and run that instead Yes, the six nations does a job in Rugby. On the subject of pointless games, what's the point in bigger teams playing teams that are going to get whipped, obviously the gulf in class isn't what it once was but do the likes of Spain really need to play San Marino. FIFA complain about to many games then sort qualification games out like that. It should be tiered so that bigger nations enter at a later stage, ala FA Cup style. Apologies for ranting.
ScouseFox Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Wasn't bothered about us getting it, but would have preferred it to go to Spain/Portugal or Holland/Belgium over Russia. Qatar will be interesting.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Found the perfect music to sum today up
Jimmy Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 they are now saying on SSN that Brazil might have the WC taken off them as they can't afford it and either us or USA would be parachuted in. Qatar will be a joke 40 degrees in June/July and done to head off a challenge to Blatter from the Asian federation president
Guest Mee-9 Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 What the fook is a Qatar? Is it some species of fish? Sepp Blatter the useless ****. Couldn't choose a thai ladyboy from one of Essex's finest. Useless.
Rich Fox Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 I think we made a pigs ear of this from start to finish, why did they plan to build40k staduims at mk dons and plymouth and why did Nottingham get it ahead of Leicester and Derby for that matter as they would have had to build a staduim from scratch. The bit I watched today was also cringeworthy that bloke Eddie lecturing everyone on how hard it must be to grow up in Manchester my heart bleads.
Rich Fox Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Notts Forest just heaved a sigh of relief. Why Davie thought they would have got funding to build a new stadium or do you mean they dont want to move to soul less pit in middle of nowhere?
Jordan Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 they'll create thousands of jobs buildiing the stadia, not just the people building it, all the people that make things that are needed to build it Hooray for forced labor.
davieG Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Why Davie thought they would have got funding to build a new stadium or do you mean they dont want to move to soul less pit in middle of nowhere? The County & City Council's had already fallen out over it and there was no guarantee of funding as I understood it.

It mattered not Fifa have a whole different agenda these days and it's all about spreading football to 'new' countries. Why Russia then because it is in effect a new country and has a massive population that Fifa wants to sell football too.
Guest lcfc80 Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Hooray for forced labor. who said anything about forced labour you nipple, if it creates jobs, which it will, im sure that the local people will be happy to work
Corky Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Can see millions flocking over to Russia for six weeks.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Beckham just described Qatar as a 'great' country
Sly Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Can see millions flocking over to Russia for six weeks. How many will come back?!
Houdini Logic Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Agree with Russia to be honest. Qatar is laughable
Guest lcfc80 Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 How many will come back?! i'd imagine roughly about the same that went, after all everyone managed to survive South Africa after scaremongering that they'd all be robbed and murdered
Jon the Hat Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Right, Now that is out of the Way, lets take FIFA DOWN! Go Panaroma! Kill!!!
Collier Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Almost, unfortunately, impossible to get angry / worked up about the inevitable.
Ozwin Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Isn't the Visa application thing really difficult when travelling to Russia? It's gonna be madness when the fans travel over there.
Libertine Posted 2 December 2010 Posted 2 December 2010 Isn't the Visa application thing really difficult when travelling to Russia? It's gonna be madness when the fans travel over there. No VISA necessary with a match ticket apparently.
