same, get rid of pointless friendlies and run that instead

Yes, the six nations does a job in Rugby.

On the subject of pointless games, what's the point in bigger teams playing teams that are going to get whipped, obviously the gulf in class isn't what it once was but do the likes of Spain really need to play San Marino. FIFA complain about to many games then sort qualification games out like that.

It should be tiered so that bigger nations enter at a later stage, ala FA Cup style.

Apologies for ranting.

Wasn't bothered about us getting it, but would have preferred it to go to Spain/Portugal or Holland/Belgium over Russia.

Qatar will be interesting.

they are now saying on SSN that Brazil might have the WC taken off them as they can't afford it and either us or USA would be parachuted in.

Qatar will be a joke 40 degrees in June/July and done to head off a challenge to Blatter from the Asian federation president

What the fook is a Qatar? Is it some species of fish?

Sepp Blatter the useless ****. Couldn't choose a thai ladyboy from one of Essex's finest.

Useless.

Notts Forest just heaved a sigh of relief.

I think we made a pigs ear of this from start to finish, why did they plan to build40k staduims at mk dons and plymouth and why did Nottingham get it ahead of Leicester and Derby for that matter as they would have had to build a staduim from scratch.

The bit I watched today was also cringeworthy that bloke Eddie lecturing everyone on how hard it must be to grow up in Manchester my heart bleads.

Why Davie thought they would have got funding to build a new stadium or do you mean they dont want to move to soul less pit in middle of nowhere?

they'll create thousands of jobs buildiing the stadia, not just the people building it, all the people that make things that are needed to build it :trumpet:

Hooray for forced labor.

The County & City Council's had already fallen out over it and there was no guarantee of funding as I understood it.

It mattered not Fifa have a whole different agenda these days and it's all about spreading football to 'new' countries. Why Russia then because it is in effect a new country and has a massive population that Fifa wants to sell football too.

i'd imagine roughly about the same that went, after all everyone managed to survive South Africa after scaremongering that they'd all be robbed and murdered

Isn't the Visa application thing really difficult when travelling to Russia? It's gonna be madness when the fans travel over there.

No VISA necessary with a match ticket apparently.
