FilboFox Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 And good to see Serena doing well again! Into the 4th Round now... still very much hopeful she'll win her 11th Slam! And re my last post, shame about Cirstea going out to that shrieking hack Azarenka... horrid player.
Father Ted Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 Yep, Federer-Djokovic are on the same side of the draw. They can only meet in the Semi's. Men's interactive draw
AjcW Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 Its Ivanovic time on bbc at the moment... Sit back, relax and enjoy ....

Brainy Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 Serbian He got 24 aces yesterday to his opponent's 4. Murray got 11 against Gulbis. Troicki serve has improved massively since the last time they played. In fact, Troicki has improved massively on the whole since his thrashing at the Davis Cup We will see. Jovan
Flynny Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 Murray is looking absolutely fantastic, some amazing stuff here. Almost embarrassing.
C-man Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 Murray was absolutely awesome yesterday. Felt sorry for Troicki because he was made to look very average.
Cat Burger Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 I went along yesterday, saw Jankovic v Oudin, Manlesbo v Pannetta (fit), Simon (god) v Hanescu, and 3 sets of J.C Ferrero (another god) v Gonzalez. Camped over on Friday night and although it was a long and tiring 24 hours I'd recommend it to anyone. And we all got on BBC1 on the highlights show

Uncle Albert Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 You'll be eating your words when the future Serb no.1 Viktor Troicki hammers Andy Murray in the 3rd round Ouch. Murray was brilliant yesterday and Troicki I don't think deserved the hammering he took. If Murray can play like that for the rest of the tournament then he will have a real chance. Murray's returning is brilliant, didnt realise until the commentators said yesterday it really does set him up well for the rest of the rally. Come on Murray!
Cat Burger Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 Mate, you should apply in the public ballot. I've got tickets that way for the last 2 years without queueing. I loved the camping and queueing, but I suppose that's my personal preference. There was also 10 of us that wanted to sit together. I'll definitley go again so it's good to know I've got that option, cheers. Have you seen any big games on the two big courts?
Joe. Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 I'm going to this tomorrow. Leaving at 4:45 in the morning, nice. Hopefully we'll catch Djokovic on court 3, but no doubt the interest for that one will be insane so I don't hold partciularly high hopes there. Enjoyed it a lot last year, not least for bagging a few centre court tickets for Federer/Soderling, and hopefully it'll be another decent day out tomorrow.

For the last three years I've gone in the first week of the Championships and had tickets for Centre Court (although this year I got Court 1), so I've seen most of the top players but the matches have been fairly straightforward. Hopefully next year I'll get tickets for the latter stages where the games are tighter and more intense.
Tommy G Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Is Murray 3rd on today in centre Court? If so should be able to catch this when I'm home from work..
