Father Ted Posted 25 June 2009 Posted 25 June 2009 Except Nadal and Federer. How many majors has Djokotwat won? 1 more than Murray
Bert Posted 25 June 2009 Posted 25 June 2009 1 more than Murray Read the forum - You'll see I don't particularly like Murray.
dandannieldanok Posted 25 June 2009 Posted 25 June 2009 Baltacha thrashed, Murray the only Brit left in either of the single competitions.
Ultra Posted 25 June 2009 Posted 25 June 2009 Murray tore Gulbis apart on Centre Court. The defeat of Del Potro, who was in his half of the draw, is also a bonus for him.
Fox You Forest Posted 25 June 2009 Posted 25 June 2009 Wozniacki for the Ladies Singles ! The longer she stays in the better...
Bert Posted 25 June 2009 Posted 25 June 2009 Murray looked good of him from what I seen, but was that down to his opponent being poor? Can't see past Federer right now myself. Since Agassi stopped playing Tennis, I've never really had a favourite Male tennis player. I'm just waiting for Murray to crash out and everyone stop referring to him as British.

I can't see Federer losing either......womens on the other hand is wide open
Bert Posted 25 June 2009 Posted 25 June 2009 I can't see Federer losing either......womens on the other hand is wide open Always is. I posted earlier on in the thread, it's very rare that one of the top few seeds doesn't win the mens, but it could be anyone from the womens.
Flynny Posted 25 June 2009 Posted 25 June 2009 Sharapova really isn't that attractive. Yep I'd definitely turn her down. Definitely.

Thank-God someone 'respected' who people won't slag off said this. I seem to remember a Murray thread where I basically posted that, yet I got slagged off!

Helps tho with multis just take nadal or federer in to a couple of womens plays helps get the odds up.
Father Ted Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Troicki to play Murray in the 3rd round as I anticipated Troicki has come on leaps and bounds recently and has really impressed me. His serve is lethal at the moment with great accuracy and power. COME ON VIKTOR!!
Head Honcho Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Troicki to play Murray in the 3rd round as I anticipated Troicki has come on leaps and bounds recently and has really impressed me. His serve is lethal at the moment with great accuracy and power. COME ON VIKTOR!! So please tell me, are you Serbian, or just a ****? Troicki's serve wasn't much good the last time they played 6-1, 6-0, to Murray wasn't it?
purpleronnie Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 So please tell me, are you Serbian, or just a ****?Troicki's serve wasn't much good the last time they played 6-1, 6-0, to Murray wasn't it? Should be ok, especially if he plays like he did yesterday.
Milky Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Murray looked good of him from what I seen, but was that down to his opponent being poor? Can't see past Federer right now myself. Since Agassi stopped playing Tennis, I've never really had a favourite Male tennis player. I'm just waiting for Murray to crash out and everyone stop referring to him as British. But he is British. That's why it says GBR next to his name. That's Tennis. He represents GBR. Perhaps we should split up now cus the moaning is getting too much to take.
Matt Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 But he is British. That's why it says GBR next to his name. That's Tennis. He represents GBR. Perhaps we should split up now cus the moaning is getting too much to take. When/If he loses many people will refer to him as Scottish.
Milky Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 When/If he loses many people will refer to him as Scottish. Who? Who does this? I've seen this argument so many times, but never come across it myself.

Jon the Hat Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 When/If he loses many people will refer to him as Scottish. When Scotland can fund it's own Sportsmen without English handouts they can call him Scottish. I will be sure to call him British when he loses to Federer in the Final. But then I will be European!

But, it's typical of people that jump on the bandwagon when he's doing well, and then when he loses he's Scottish, not British. Do you see what I mean? I'm not moaning - Whether he wins the tournament or gets beat in the 3rd round will not bother me in the slightest.
James. Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Who? Who does this?I've seen this argument so many times, but never come across it myself. Neither have I. Personally I'm not a massive fan of Murray's. I think it's great for British tennis that "one of our own" has been so successful (relatively speaking), I'm just not particularly keen on him as a person though. That said, I hope he wins it.

I try my best not to associate with such idiots, which is probably why i haven't heard that stuff used.
