Edmund Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 I swear Panesar was released from the squad earlier on today. Correct young sir. Correct and correct. Didn't notice that. Got it from some Auzzie website Just wanted to see the Australian team but all I can find via google is the England team.
Joe. Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Well this isn't looking good. Reckon we'll get some play in this afternoon at some point though, clear weather on the way apparently.
Joe. Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Only just heard that Phillip Hughes announced he'd been dropped on Twitter.
Hitesh Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Only just heard that Phillip Hughes announced he'd been dropped on Twitter. Yeah, quite funny tbh! Rudi Kertzen is giving an intervew at the moment and saying the ground is still a bit too soft at the moment.
Fox You Forest Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Only just heard that Phillip Hughes announced he'd been dropped on Twitter. They spoke to his agent on SSN and he let slip that Hilfenhaus might not be fit.
Matt Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 So whats gone on today? Not alot? Just turned it on, Is it just the Aussies who have batted today (Currently 121-1)? Surely England couldn't have batted and been all out yet, and I'm sure there would be more comments about it on here if we had already batted and got all out.
C-man Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Play began at 5pm. England began with wayward spells from all our quicks, Australia made us pay and raced to 85-0. Swann was brought on and in his first over removed Katich LBW for 46, but replays suggested he should have had Watson a couple of balls earlier by the same method. Aleem Dar made a bad call there. Ponting came in, looked nervous early on but finished the day on 17, whilst Watson has passed 50 and therefore accomplished more than Philip Hughes had in the first two tests. The close of play at 7.10pm saw Australia 126-1. Personally I think it's ridiculous how they stopped play then when people had paid £75 for a ticket when they could have quite easily gone on another half hour. Something really needs to be done about play allocations after rain delays. Personally it's not bad for me as I'm going on Sunday and there may be a lot of play to make up by then, but I feel sorry for people who went today and only got 30 rather dismal overs by England.
Budweiser Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Pretty shocking, the pitch didn't help, still ages to go anyway.
Fox You Forest Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Something spectacular will have to happen for this to be anything other than a draw. Saturday and Monday have plenty of rain forecast. It makes it hard to get into.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Watson can make a double ton then break down.........most overated player in history an absolute flog. Also never thought I would see the day graheme Manou would get a baggy green

marko Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Hahaha the Aussies have been taking batting lessons from us!!!
