Edmund Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Finally... Pleased with this signing lets hope he becomes a real gem.
MikeyT Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Good stuff. Having just watched that video he looks like he has a fair bit of pace about him and a few tricks. Good luck to him. Hope he does well for us!
Joe. Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 I think he's going to be a player who will probably frustrate the hell out of us at times, but at others produce little moments of magic. Sadly, I think it's more likely to be the former more than the latter...
MPH Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 pleased to have him. he looks tricky. BUT it IS a big step up from the 2nd division. I think we will need to wait till the 2nd half of the season before we see the best of him
Pricey Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Why am I not convinced by the 5 signings so far? Because they're not particularly big name players? I think Weale's the least exciting but give them a good half season before we judge, I'm fairly sure they'll do well. It will be nice if we bring in one or two recognised names in the following weeks though.

Most will give them a fair crack of the whip but there'll be a few of the happy clappers in the West Stand will give them 3 games before demonizing them as over-rated/under performing/not the right type of player/lazy etc. God help any striker who comes in and doesn't score more goals than Fryatt. I just hope N'Guessan's got an end product not just the ability to beat 6 men before placing an underhit cross into the arms of the keeper.
Daggers Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Another young player joining the squad.I like Pearson's style. Approved. Paedo
Alf Bentley Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 So far, so wait and see... I like the idea of someone who can play on the wing, but also up front. I wonder which position Pearson has most in mind? Trust in those who've shown themselves worthy of trust... I may be completely misreading this, but if N'Guessan is being brought in (a) to compete for wing positions; and (b) as striking back-up... That leaves cash spare for 1 big-money striker and 1 big-money central midfielder, surely...?!?!?
carterfox90 Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 sounds like he could be a real star if he puts the work in & doesnt go missing for many games as some of the reports say he does but welcome to our great club
davieG Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 Cue that brilliant sig from DavieG with the Walkers going under Hopefully it only ever appears as a reminder of how bad things where!
davieG Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 Hmm - I wonder why? Steff Wright does not want Dany N'Guessan transfer to go to tribunal Dany N'Guessan has signed for Leicester City.Lincoln City chairman Steff Wright has refused to abandon his bid to avoid letting Dany N'Guessan's transfer fee being settled by a tribunal. Championship side Leicester finally unveiled the Frenchman as their latest signing yesterday with the former Auxerre ace penning a three-year deal. But while the ex-Boston wideman secured his future, negotiations over his compensation fee were still continuing after more than three weeks of intensive talks. In accordance with the Bosman ruling, City are owed cash because the player is under 24, but the likelihood is that the settlement will be decided by an independent panel. However, Wright has not given up hope that a deal can be agreed without a tribunal. "Obviously we have been talking for quite some time and the outlook is that Dany's fee will probably be decided by a tribunal" he said. "That's not the outcome we want, but ultimately if we cannot agree then that is the only way this business will be settled." For the full interview with the Lincoln City chairman, read today's Lincolnshire Echo.

The Lincoln Chairman is an idiot and still seems to think it's about a market value for the player and not development costs from what I understand (google tells me) the Nicky Adams tribunal was as follows: £100k up front £25k after 15 appearances £25k after 30 appearances £25k after 45 appearances £50k if Leicester go up plus a 15% sell on fee. and he had been through the youth set up all the way to the first team so far more "development" involved up Dany has been at Lincoln 1 full season it will be no more than Nicky Adams at the very most
teblin Posted 27 June 2009 Author Posted 27 June 2009 He Provides cover for a 3 positions and may well start in one of them. He's 6ft2 really fast and strong could even provide an alternative to howard.

I think thats what he as been brought in for as well, back up to Howard and and Dyer. I dont think there will be a another big Striker, just someone like Cox maybe.

SystonFox Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 Because he is black I can't see any other comparisons... Lets hope he likes the cold exactly what i thought, skin colour is the same therefore they are the same player; wtf?! i've never seen N'guessan play but i do know a host of clubs were after him in our league so must be a good scoop. i think we should try and sign Ryan Babel on loan from L'pool. he'd fucking tear it up
SuperTommyM Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 hope he becomes a decent signing NP hasnt gone wrong in the market yet
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 hope he becomes a decent signing NP hasnt gone wrong in the market yet Paul Dickov? It'll be interesting to see how this signing turns out. The sheep have decided to take 'less of a risk' imo by signing Croft from Norwich as N'Guessan is untested at this level. At 6ft 1" though he'll hopefully have a more physical presence than most wingers out there in the championship. He'll blow hot and cold though I'm sure. More hot than cold please!

Dickov hasn't had a real chance yet, yet i agree his hasn't done much to excite anyone. Chambers, Fryatt and even maybe Howard shall all be learning from Dickov in training and he will most probably be helping the young playes. Regardless of what anyone else says, i wouldn't say this is a bad transfer, he scored a few for Blakpool the season before aswell.
Edmund Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 Paul Dickov? Mandaric exactly what i thought, skin colour is the same therefore they are the same player; wtf?! Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed.

I've said it before, I'll say it again, he was a Mandaric signing.
