Are we going up or are we going down?

Looking at the players Pearson is bringing in to the squad it looks as if we are picking a squad for league "ONE"

FFS the American/ Croat owner keeps blathering on about his desire to play premiership footy. Well by shelling out the pittance he has (in footy terms) I can't see the City in the premiership within a decade. In fact I wouldn't be at all supprised to see them stumble back down into Legue one again.

Open up the cheque book and by some quality players that have already are in the premier league. Or at least a couple of strikers that are in the Championship. You have to spend that 13 mil you keep bangin on about Milan. In terms of real footy money 13 mil would have bought Ronaldo's boots. So to Manager Pearson keep out of the second hand shops looking for bargains and buy some decent players, If you don't it will be a loss at home and away to Ollie and the seasiders.

Disappointed to say the least

I've always wanted us to spend money but we've proven we just can't do it. We wont get some of the targets you're after either way A.R, like current Premiership players.

leicester fans have short memories.

Nothing is ever good enough for them.

i said it in a previous thread so i will say it again....

O'Niell spent small amounts of money on some unknowns... guppy, izzet, savage, lennon...

if it worked for him its not impossible for it to work again...

i dispair sometimes at the absolute negativity of our fans.

Pearson rooted out the negativity of the squad we need someone to do it for our fans too...

True and don't forget what the lame aging signings do for you. The transfer window stays open until the end of August. The side needs a midfielder and two strikers. The players have to be good and young. We saw plenty of examples of this last year.

Please tell me what's so bad about our signings?

Hobbs - Up and Coming young centre back has the potential to play in the prem

Brown - proven to be very good at this level

Neilson - captained a good Hearts side.

Weale - He seems to have impressed everywhere he's gone.A lot of Bristol fans were disapointed he left

N'Guessan - Highly rated, chased by a few club's including Sheff United, bags of potential to succeed at this level and maybe higher.

So tell me what is so disheartening about those players??

Considering we've still got 3 of the magic six to come, I'd say we've done pretty well.

Agree, probably not happy because they were mainly frees.

We paid for Brown, Hobbs and a tribunal fee N'Guessan surely. Not sure about Weale or Neilson.

True but the fact is none of them are confirmed how much yet, so people will just presume they are nominal and therefore not good enough.

Let Pearson do his job, dont start getting on his back before the season has begun, his signings last season were good. And the majority of people including myself are pleased with this years signings :)

We're also starting to assemble a squad and a bit of healthy competition (at the back at least for now).

Still a way to go yet before the new season, and I expect some transfer activity over the next 2-3 weeks, so lets not get too hasty just yet.

we have plenty of young and hungry players - they need to be mixed with some experienced players ( not over the hill, of course)

i would be suprised if we didnt get in another CB... we have after all lost kisnorbo and N'Gotty... and as much as i rate tunchev, Hobbs and morrison 3 CB's isnt enough to start a championship campaign...

At least 1 more striker ( depending if we can offload DJ)

and a CM ( to replace wesalowski and clemmance possibly)

:banghead: Ffs the season hasn't started yet. If we haven't signed these people you experts all know that we need by the time it has started, start these threads then.

Whats the point in signing Premiership players when they are just going to come here and be either too old, too slow or unmotivated to play for what will probably be perceived as a fairly mediocre mid table team. We should be signing players with abit of ambition who will truly want to play for our club. There is no point in having quality here when they wont use it. Except for the fact that they will have a good rating on the next fifa which will be useful when we play as Leicester lol

Can't believe np hasn't got a new striker or strikers yet?????

Think i have been on this website too long. ( only about 2 years i think!)

Leicester fans have to be the most impatient bunch of people i know....

And before the ' right to an opinion' police arrive... yes thats their opinion , and this is MY opinion so button it...

We just need 2 forwards to compete with Howard and Fryatt, one big and one quick for me.

Midfield we need a scrappy midfielder and possibly a creative one as well like Surman to be Oakleys long term replacement as he is aging.

Also could do with another experienced, Championship left back, about 31 so for when he retires we can play Mattock, who IMO has been very dissapointing recently. I would also get another keeper on loan, as Weale is injury prone, if not use Pentney as back-up, he seemed good in his short time.
